When Vince goes WWE NEEDS to repackage. Like Adam’s video a New Blood Rising Angle could work AS LONG AS you acknowledge the former champions and the wrestlers and keep with continuity. Go for a more sports based presentation because a lot of Attitude Era fans moved to UFC because they have “characters” and a realistic feel. Promote NXT heavily as the sneak peak for the next evolution of wrestling. Create something that mixes chaos and wrestling. Make changes that would SHOCK THE WORLD like CM Punk returning or John Cena being heel. Make the shows more violent and visual. Redesign all the titles, all the shows and logos. Make it feel COMPLETELY NEW. Keep the intro though it’s fantastic. Make wins and loses matter to an extent. For example if I am the number one contender I should be that because I have won 5 in a row matches. If I loose a match after that then I am still the contender as long as it fits the story. Legends are used as the past era and away to build the future. For example for the fun Stone Cold introduces Brian Pillman Jr and then he batters Austin. That would be brilliant. Also. Don’t higher TV writers. Get a few (3-4) people who have been in the business and they are the BOOKERS of the shows.
I think having a brand split is perfect, I don’t see any reason to kill that concept and unite the two brands and MANY superstars would be lost in the shuffle, I feel like having the brand split is vital for all superstars to get equal opportunity
Who would've thought this day would come? Vince McMahon retires at the age of 77, still alive. Thank you Vince for making me a wrestling fan. Then. Now. Forever. Together.
This is probably Adam's most ambitious _How WWE should book..._ video and I'm including the one he did on John Cena's heel turn when he was still with WhatCulture.
Wouldn't be surprised if when they're going through his stuff they find years and years of storylines and scripts and his will is that WWE is booked exactly according to those scripts. And also that they consult a ouija board every Monday so Vince can still deliver his traditional "last minute change of plans."
Honestly probably the same thing but with Brock beating him in a 25 minute PPV main event instead of a 6 second squash on Smackdown. Outside of that, his reign was fine imo
Vince reminds me of the Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones, so I will insert him to the joke I tell about Jerry. Vince is the guy that’s going to leave a 5 year plan for the company upon death and if you don’t follow his rules, his ghost WILL haunt you and everyone you love.
Not exactly. Jerry and Vince do share a lot of similarities, but I think his true avatar outside of the wrestling bubble is a different NFL owner: Al Davis. Both Al and Vince were seen as renegades in their heyday, with VKM bucking tradition and expanding into other territories, and Al developing the brand of Raiders football: in your face, smash mouth football that will take anyone from anywhere to win. Just win, baby. Both of them managed to solidify themselves as loners in their worlds, especially Davis, who SUED THE NFL AND WON and Vince getting wrestling officially designated as predetermined by the NJ state athletic commission. Finally, after a resurgence in the late nineties thanks to some innovative minds (Jon Gruden for the Raiders and Steve Austin for the WWF), they dropped off a cliff thanks to some very questionable decisions (trading Gruden, Austin turning heel). Al was mostly portrayed as an out of touch egomaniac who had no idea how modern football works, going through coach after coach and drafting extremely questionable prospects, and Vince... well you know. TL;DR Vince McMahon is the Al Davis of wrestling. Both of them were considered mavericks in their prime, but once age caught up to them, they became a shell of their former selves, refusing to die because passing away would be seen as a show of weakness in their eyes or some other macho bullshit like that.
A fair few people don't know this, but if you shave your eyebrows there's a chance they won't grow back. They take like 2 months to grow back when they do.
Not necessarily. Vince is the one who cultivated the “wwe or bust” mantra. His entire business plan was “1 sign all the territories top guys 2 kill territories 3 profit” imo with ANYONE else at the helm they probably see the potential in opening the “forbidden door” we’ve seen Aew and njpw demolish over the past year. Personally especially if it’s triple h taking over, I can definitely see wwe being willing to work alongside other companies once Vince is gone. Imagine for a second, a wwe vs Aew vs njpw vs impact vs roh SUPER card. Imagine the money that they’d make. They could do cowboys stadium and charge 1000 for nosebleeds. *sigh* if only
@@richardtherichard26 I agree with you, I was mainly talking from a Storyline perspective; like the Invasion story but done right. I would've trusted HHH, maybe Shane too but I don't think he wants to be in control, I'm just not sure about Steph. Sure, she's seems like a smart woman and does great PR work, I just don't trust her with the wrestling and entertainment side of the business. Any thoughts?
@@sandmanzcommin08 Well NOW how do you feel about Vince being out? I've always hated one thing about Adam's booking here. He made it seem like EVERYTHING Vince was doing was wrong, so now that he's gone EVERYTHING has to be different. I mean vacating all titles, even Roman? How stupid would that be? There are storylines that have been being told for nearly a year (Becky vs Bianca) and just because Vince is out, that storyline should be scraped? WWE will change over time without Vince. No need to make ANY drastic changes now...aside from Raw being 2hrs again lol
@@KoolKeithProductions You mean like how Mr. Can't keep it in his pants McMahon and Brother Love snatched NXT and scrapped most of what we were enjoying; which was most likely that stress that caused Trips' heart problem? As for my feelings NOW...I feel just like how Vinnie Mac feels when he flosses hush money out of his teeth with the blood money from sh*tty Saudi Arabia PPVs, happy as Hell! First order of business, give the wrestlers their original and less ridiculous ring names back! Let's Go! WOOOO!
@@sandmanzcommin08 Well all l can say is just be careful what you wish for. As we move forward, we hope WWE can step into the future with a new outlook, but Nick Khan is STILL there...watching...waiting...to remove the rest of the McMahon family, HHH included. If you care so much about the old NXT, then you must know that Khan was behind the gutting of that place. Once he gets rid of everyone else, what will The E be with *Mr. Budget Cuts* in full control?
Personally, I think he’s waiting for a crossover episode with Cultaholic to be greenlit, and then he’ll bring it back, just the once. Because *NOSTALGIA.*
I think this new version of Adam is awesome. It's more refined, more humble, and yet more entertaining. Not having the smart-ass *ding* kinda symbolizes this one.
The only thing I really dislike about this booking is that you are ending the brand split, because I maintain that ending the brand split will only cause more problems than it would solve (hell 'the wild card rule' and the confusing 'brand to brand invetational' seems like proof to me).
It's only a problem to you because you are more than likely operating the under the belief that Hunter would run the company in the same vein as Vince. Go watch NXT and you'll see that with the same sized roster and only one hour on his program, TRIPLE H did more with his product in one month than Vince ever did with his three. Triple H's booking has already proven to easily eclipse Vince's in 2013 alone. Adam knows where Triple H is coming from, he's seen it, I've seen it and we all know if Triple H had complete control of the company, it would be NXT just on a much bigger stage.
@@mageside thats pure BS. If HHH's booking eclipsed vince then why cant NXT get the same amount of veiwers as Smackdown or RAW. If HHH takes over wwe then thats when pro wrestling will end.
I would hire Adam Blampied Plana Productions Simon Miller and a bunch of former wrestlers to the creative team and watch my ratings go through the roof
Okay so I just got to the Seth vs Rock part of the video and I have to say in the scenario that Adam describes I can’t see it being a ‘face vs face’ match. If Rock is representing WWE’s reliance on the mainstream and the past then you will NEED to portray him as the heel in order to signify that Vince’s time is over and a new era is beginning especially if he’s using McMahon interference as an advantage and taking a stunner from Austin like Adam said in the video. Plus we’d likely be getting 2003 Hollywood Rock if he was playing the heel and that alone would be worth it.
Hollywood Rock now that he is literally Mr Hollywood and what the character would represent I think that would be PERFECT. Plus The Rock became a big star due to his heel work with Vince (became a wrestling mega start with his 2000 face run) and became a even bigger mega star when he went to Hollywood and that character would represent both so I completely agree with you. Plus Hollywood Rock is always the best Rock.
I'd use cena instead of rock tho, cause then you can keep the match face vs face in kayfabe but have the fans still boo the shit out of cena making him the heel in our eyes, well cause he's like the easiest babyface to boo.
Idea: Do a sort of gm series similar to this but booking your own world from now to the future and then you could compare the two in the future, you book so well so this could be great 👍🏻
I remember during the Mr. McMahon night where Vince blew up in the limo, they had Bret do a little talking head interview, and he spent pretty much his entire time burying Vince. To borrow a quote from Jerry Lawler, I don't think Bret could warm up to Vince if they were cremated together.
Love this video. Only thing I'd change is Roman instead of The Rock. The Rock probably can't have a great match with Seth, and the history between Seth and Roman would only add to the stakes already in place. Plus, if you do it as Heel Roman, you include Heyman, so now Paul Heyman is essentially helping a McMahon, and you can have Roman talk about HE was the guy that Vince always wanted. You can even get some insider terms in it, as direct shots to the fans who've hated Roman being shoved down their throats for the last 5 years. It also allows Seth to be the clear face in the match (no way a WM crowd is cheering for him over The Rock) and you can maybe do the exact same finish with Austin, or hell, do Kevin Owens, and go out of Mania as Seth being the hero and KO/Roman as one of your top feuds, as KO screws over Shane once again.

Vince: What? Did you not know i'm immortal? I've been absorbing my wrestlers's energies, why do you think so many wanted to leave?
@broootal ok sign me up
When Vince goes WWE NEEDS to repackage.
Alright, so this fantasy booking is going to stay a fantasy booking. WWE gonna Benoit tf out of Vince after the lawsuit.
I think having a brand split is perfect, I don’t see any reason to kill that concept and unite the two brands and MANY superstars would be lost in the shuffle, I feel like having the brand split is vital for all superstars to get equal opportunity
Eventually you can go down the route of a brand split but to begin with you need the unification

Vince: There no chance... IN HEEELLLLL!!!
Even when he “retires” his ghost 👻 will still make sure his vision is kept
Wouldn't be surprised if when they're going through his stuff they find years and years of storylines and scripts and his will is that WWE is booked exactly according to those scripts.
And also that they consult a ouija board every Monday so Vince can still deliver his traditional "last minute change of plans."
There’s a reason TH-cam put this in my suggestions. I just can’t put my finger on it
Adam please could you do a how you would’ve booked kofi Kingston’s wwe title run
Honestly probably the same thing but with Brock beating him in a 25 minute PPV main event instead of a 6 second squash on Smackdown. Outside of that, his reign was fine imo
@@greatthemeedits1252 his reign was fine but I believe it could of been better like new fat triple threat or something like that
Vince reminds me of the Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones, so I will insert him to the joke I tell about Jerry.
@@TheTrainFan9 Man that was a great explanation of both of them

Unfortunately, seeing how HHH has been screwed recently and had to retire, we don't really know how much control he would have in the end because of his health.

@@mjb2697 agreed.
you need to make this a series this is so interesting!
edit: the "retirement" of Vince McMahon series
Amazing booking and storytelling. So glad you've returned!

I remember during the Mr. McMahon night where Vince blew up in the limo, they had Bret do a little talking head interview, and he spent pretty much his entire time burying Vince.
To borrow a quote from Jerry Lawler, I don't think Bret could warm up to Vince if they were cremated together.

This intro was SPICY and I'm absolutely here for it.
This is the first time a fantasy booking has ever made me Legitimate pop that stone cold stunner reveal was amazing
It’s not “ no way their cheering …”, it’s actually no chance in HELLL
Well, well, well, looks like he didn’t die at the wheel.
The idea of Steve Austin drinking a beer for Vince is... wow
