Swanage Fire Station chip pan fire demonstration

The chance to see Swanage’s emergency vehicles close up, was too good an opportunity to miss for lots of young children and a few big kids too!
Swanage Fire Station’s open day on Saturday 10th August 2024 proved a big hit, with the firefighters demonstrating the work they do, along with Swanage’s police, ambulance, and coastguard teams.
It was Swanage Fire Station’s first open day in many years, with pandemic restrictions preventing events like this taking place in recent times.
So this was the first time that many local children had been given the chance to see what goes on behind the big red sliding doors on Kings Road West.
