  • Avi Loeb is perhaps the most respected and credentialed academic taking a fact-based, scientific approach to the question of UFOs. Ross Coulthart engages him in a wide-ranging conversation about his work, his discoveries, and what’s next as science seeks to answer that existential question: are we alone in the universe?
    Host: Ross Coulthart
    Executive Producer: Andy Gipson
Senior Producers: Sam Adelman, Joe Ward, Emily Lambert
    Producer: Caroline Pearson
    Editor: John Nock
On "Reality Check," NewsNation contributor Ross Coulthart digs into stories the media is supposedly not meant to tell, taking a fact-based approach to tackle everything from unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) to mysteries often missing from the headlines.

One of the biggest critics of Dr. Loeb’s work is Neil D. Tyson who himself doesn’t do any experiments, isn’t a scientist in any sense of the word, sits on a podcast and Twitter all day and criticizes other people’s work and experiments all while providing 0 contributions to the scientific community.

If this is true, then why can’t Avi present a little more than coal from the bottom of the ocean…..?
Why doesn’t Avi share with other scientists his incredible discoveries? Publish papers on the subject?

    • @monkeyman12357
      @monkeyman12357 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@FraserJohnstone1 Alright, imagine this: Avi Loeb is like a modern-day treasure hunter, but instead of looking for gold or jewels, he's searching for tiny pieces of interstellar "magic" at the bottom of the ocean. Now, when people say, "Why can't he show us more than just coal from the ocean floor?" it's a bit like asking, "Why doesn't the treasure hunter show us more than just a piece of shiny rock?"
Here's why Avi is doing everything by the book and sharing his discoveries in the right way:
Publishing Papers: Avi Loeb and his team are scientists, and in the science world, sharing discoveries means publishing papers. Just like showing your work in school, scientists write detailed reports called papers, which explain what they found and how they found it. Avi has done this and continues to do so. These papers get reviewed by other scientists to make sure everything checks out before being published.
Sharing Samples: Sharing the spherules (those tiny droplets) with other scientists is a bit like sharing your favorite toy. You wouldn't just give it away to everyone because it’s precious and you need to study it carefully first. Avi and his team have shared their findings with multiple labs around the world for analysis, ensuring they get the best possible results from various experts.
Funding and Resources: Think of the expedition to find these spherules as a big adventure that costs a lot of money. Avi needs to make sure the research is thorough and well-funded. If he just handed out samples to everyone, it would be like giving away your treasure without having enough to complete your quest.
Step-by-Step Process: In science, discoveries take time. First, you find the "treasure" (spherules). Then, you study it carefully, write about it, and share your findings. This process ensures that the information is accurate and credible. Avi is doing all of this to make sure his discoveries are rock-solid before sharing them widely.
So, next time someone questions why Avi can't just show everything right away, remember that science is like a big, exciting adventure. It takes time, careful study, and sharing in the right way to make sure everyone can trust the treasure they've found.
And don't worry, Avi is on it-he's sharing his incredible discoveries with the world, one step at a time!

I will never forget my first UFO sighting which was a close encounter of the first kind, during the summer of 1998. I was with two friends buying some food in the grocery store. As we left the shop, to head home. We noticed a UFO hovering around an old waste land site next to the block of flats where my friend lived. We all said that's a UFO. It looked very technically advanced. Dark grey silver disc matalic shaped object with orange lights and black linings underneath. No sound. No windows. No proplostion system. No wings. No engine. Then it just hovered off. After seeing that we all knew, that did not look like any type of human technology. That was something else.

Hey Ross here's something I'd love for you to look into, Around this time the Don Lane Show (Channel 9) had a story on someone who came out from the USA (not sure who that was?) to talk about Fredrick Valentich's disappearance and wanted an armed escort with him at all times if he was going to be on the Don Lane Show they claimed to have knowledge on what happened to him and i vaguely remember them saying it involved something to do with Pine Gap! I bet that footage has disappeared from Channel 9's vault like the news reports from 1966 about the Westall sighting have! 👽

I loved the show, as always. Thanks to all concerned! Dr. Loeb is a truly inspiring person, and I'm glad to know that there are people in the scientific world that are still interested in pursuing science with an open -minded and intrepid attitude, rather than with smugly doctrinaire prejudice. I wish him all the best in his studies and discoveries, and I look forward to hearing about whatever he uncovers next.
I can't help adding one more comment and it is this:
If we get away from the more primitive religious narratives in which the earth is believed to be a created "thing" apart from God, and look instead to the cosmology of the Hindus and their sister religions, we encounter a far more sophisticated and fascinating approach to existence, creation, and the natures of God and humanity.
In the Hindu world view, especially in the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta, we see that this entire cosmos, which western science tends to view as a purely material phenomenon, is actually a function of CONSCIOUSNESS, rather than a collection of inert materials. We see a cosmos that is essentially a dreamlike process taking place in the mind of God, with consciousness permeating every fiber of reality, and with humanity existing as vessels of divine consciousness experiencing a temporary illusion of separateness.
If I had the time and freedom to become a scientist myself, it is consciousness itself that I would study, for it is in the phenomenon of consciousness that I believe all of the secrets of reality are to be revealed. I just had to put that out there.
All the best, and blessings to Ross and to all the people who make Reality Check possible! --N

I believe Mr Loeb was read into the Vatican, Not only is he stellar smart but as a teacher he knows how to connect to the sources of information that only wise men can call upon. He might as well be Italian he has common sense above all (I am Italian). The Pope and his council will talk to Mr. Loeb. So he starts with a base of facts and adds his expertise to the subject matter. He knows exactly with pin point accuracies where to look who to ask and then deliver the message with humble humility... Thank you for your continued reporting on this topic Ross I am A fan. Joe S..

The Vatican doesn't share their information with outsiders. When was the last time they contributed anything to the advancement of common knowledge? 80-100 years ago? The Vatican is entering another repressive phase in relation to science, and we are all lucky that they aren't as powerful as they were for their last few.

Great show from two men whom I respect greatly. You know, I'm an old guy but I have always been a sky watcher. As such, I have seen more than one anomaly. Some have been backed up by, for one, a TV show, sighting that I witnessed in 1974 and as I watched a TV show called Sightings on reruns, a story was on that was one of the sightings that I saw. We were in Fort Stewart from Fort Bragg on tank gunnery. Me and about five other guys saw this thing and we joked about it being a UFO. It was 2001 when I saw the show and put it all together. I've seen others as well, but no proof. The one thing that I have to say that is important to me is that no scientist can be called that if they have a closed mind to any possibility concerning unknown issues. That is what I love about Avi Loeb.

One point to make clear is that the Church back then did not appreciated the work of Copernicus and thanked him but actually suppressed his work and banned him out of the Church which after he died in sorrow. His work was leaked in the 19th century and was not published as Prof. Loeb claims. That is a pro-religious statement. I am sorry to say that in a straight way.

Avi 'Galileo' Loeb opened two doors that when put together = "The higher we soar, the smaller we appear to those who cannot fly.” - Friedrich Nietzsche. Another: 'It's hard to soar like an eagle when you're caught up with the turkeys on the ground'. Your material Ross is never a garden salad: It is a hearty hot meal. What comments could I make here. Ross Coulthart: vital and essential. Avi Loeb: Determinative. He is our Galileo and we are his friends. Thanks Ross. 🦘
