Have you been focusing just on your arches, or your broader leg?

This is an imporant video and topic for me. It's been an issue for me for years, perhaps genetic reasons or a result of many years of passionate walking and tennis - and I'm not old, though I'm not the youngest out there haha. I found your video and your channel because of this issue and my curiosity and constant searching regarding it. But all of your topics, cause and awareness are all helpful and interesting. I've subscribed to your channel. Thank you!

So happy to have found your channel! Thanks for all the wonderful exercises and stretches! I have had severe knee pain and am pretty sure it has to do with my hip rotation. I watched your two previous videos and can't wait to get on a regular practice. 😊

I did the external rotation stretch and boy, did i need that! My glutes fired right up! Can uneven shoulders also come from all the foot issues affecting the whole body?

I was born with flat feet. I wonder if it’s ever possible to actually gain an arch over time. I have switched to minimalist wide-toe box shoes, but that’s all I’ve actively done thus far.
It’d be incredible to go from pancakes for feet up to havin’ sky high arches.

If I have severe flat feet, if I do these exercises daily, in how much time can I expect to see an improvement in my arch/leg posture? Thank you so much for these videos, I think you are one of the best on TH-cam.

I appreciate the kind words mate! The ideas in the video should start improving things immediately. Mobility should be something that’s noticed straight away, strength can take a few days/weeks to notice. With arch dysfunction it’s also important to work hard on foot and arch specific exercises that are relevant to you in order to give yourself the best chance of overall improvement!

Do you have any recommendations for relieving collapsed arches in hypermobile people?
I've been focusing on my feet lately to try to give better support to my knees and hips, but I still keep noticing my knee and femoral joint wanting to bend sideways.
Thanks for all of your videos!

Hi AA! From a general standpoint hypermobility is often met with strength and control exercises to improve stability and loading. Interestingly, the label of hypermobility doesn't always guarantee every joint is mobile as some can become stiffer and still contribute to specific symptoms. It's just important to have someone assess you specifically in order to figure out what's what!

@@YourWellnessNerd Thank you so much for responding 🙏
Yeah, I've done rounds and rounds of professional PT to keep as much stability as possible, but for whatever reason my ankles and feet aren't getting with the program! Lol
I'm so glad you mentioned that hypermobility doesn't always equate to every joint being super mobile! It's very important for hypermobile people to realize our muscles get incredibly stiff from essentially having to do their jobs as well as make up for our loose fascia, as well as extra stretchy veins not always providing adequate bloodflow.
You're doing great work and I really appreciate the straight forward, applicable approach you use in your videos! They have helped me out alot when I can't figure out hangups in my at home PT. Take care!
