How to give your new fish the best chance

Let’s go over the different ways to acclimate your new fish. These methods have been my personal experience “go tos” and I have been very successful doing so.

1.QT tank.
2. Research
3.Source water parameters
4. Adjust parameters to fish purchase
5 .Tank cycle
6. Acclamation..float
7.Temperature
8. No add bag water
9. Acclamation Drip
10.oxygen added to bagged fish will increase ammonia...Can be toxic
11.Pour fish into net over bucket.
12.Lower light over QT tank to reduce stress
13.Do not feed for 12/24 hrs
14.Provide hide coverage.
15. Acclimate PH over time. .slowly
