Thrift Flip- DIY denim bustier & denim pleated mini skirt | Jewel ivy

Heyyy jewels today we have another thrift flip!! This one is Valentine’s Day inspired. I turned these vintage Levi’s into a pleated mini skirt with a matching denim lace up bustier. Great video! I am a bit stuck making the pattern at 1:20 . Was this a back waist piece or do I make a back piece and a front piece? and the extra 1/2" is just at the bottom ? Thank you

and when making the pleats, are the pockets joined at the edge or on top of the front/back pieces?

The pattern at 1:20 isn’t for the pleated skirt it’s for my first prototype I made at 1:27. But it’s just the back piece that I attached at the bottom of the main skirt piece that I cut from the top part of the jeans. So it’s a back and front piece. The half inch is added to the sides of each piece

@@kique808the pocket pieces are added at the sides of the long rectangle we cut to make the pleats. So you can have a longer rectangle to pleat with.
