The reload animations are straight up trash though, the magazine isn't even animated. By 2008 a lot of third person games already had animated magazines on weapons when reloading.
Hell, Medal of Honor Allied Assault from 2002 already had animated magazines and even animated moving bolts on weapons when firing in third person.

-You can drive without horrifically crashing
-better vehicular gunplay

-underwater exploration
-animals in story mode (too bad I rarely see any)

Was an glitch on the production, if you crouch you can see the full animation, there's an mod that fixes that, the game is way more realistic than GTA 5

GTA V positives:
-More guns
-Checkpoints in missions
-Car customization
-You own a personal vehicle that will respawn at your hlus if you loose it
-The 3 character thing
-Now it's not like in the older GTAs that you can find RPGs in a corner
-You can buy a car
-You have an actual way to spend your money
-No more Brucie or Mori
-Now you don't have to worry about shooting your mates and fail the mission (when you aim at them and shoot nothing will happen)
GTA V negatives:
-Not that many interiors
-The story was too much focusing on heists but when it wasn't it was good
-When you hit a tree real fast and you fly out of your car and you don't even hit the ground but you die
-Too short story
-People don't really want to hang out only when YOU call them
GTA IV positives:
-Longer and better story
-You can choose if you want to kill someone or not
-The weird bike physics because it's funny how you bounce off from so small stuff
-Niko's scream
-There is a happy and an unhappy ending
GTA IV negatives:
-No checkpoint in missions
-There is a weather where all the colors are gone
-The weird bike physics(yeah I said it's funny but in missions it's not)
-In a lots of missions it drops you out on the first island but the next mission is in Alderney
-It's easy to flip your car over
-Not so good character customization
-You can't be stealthy because there are no silencers
-The traffic is always scripted in the missions
-The traffic sucks(e.g. you are with a bike goimg real fast and then the cars always go in the middle

I love the punchy gun sound from GTA 4, the ones in GTA 5 is not satisfying at all for me, even the shotguns (which is usually easily satisfying) sounds muffled or something.
That and also the physics engine with its ragdoll contribute greatly to the gunplay in GTA 4 for me.

Saying that V is trash, is far from the thruth. The multiplayer was boring AF when I wasn't playing with five friends, so I stuck to the singleplayer, which was a ton of fun. Then the game decided to fuck itself beyond repair, and Rockstar decided to not give me a link to redowload. If sound effects make a game great for you, then you wouldn't like GTA4. The sounds are beyond shit, but the game may be a million times better than 5, idk never played it. Admit its mistakes, at least.

GTA 5's assault rifle sounds like it's shooting faster than it actually is. It almost shooting as slow as the Kruger in Vice City.
I like the gta V sounds way more, they have a smoother sound and they have that metallic clang to it, when iv just has kind of exploding, hard sounds. Pump shotgun is very similiar in both games, my favourite weapon.

By evaluating who he is able to let a 50AE round kick like a 9mm , I think he is also able to lift thors hammer or pull himself upwords by pulling at his own hair ... xD
If no one uses this gun into their military it's for a reason mate.
Too expensive, too much recoil, too big, too heavy, ammunition for this gun are too expensive, it doesn't hold that much round compare to a revolver which would fire the same round but doesn't have as many issues..etc etc.
And actually, in CQC situations, it would be FAR better to have a tiner and less powerful sidearm.
Having a powerful, bulky gun that kicks like a mule doesn't do you any good especially if you miss your target at the first shot.
A double tap on the trigger with a 9 mm pistol will do much better.
The Desert Eagle is still a pretty darn impressive and interesting gun...But it's useless. Like basically all attempts to make "the most powerful shit possible".
The MARS Automatic was also the most powerful handgun of its era...tho, nobody gave a shit about it, same problems more or less.

In GTA V, characters hold pistols and rifles with proper grips unlike GTA IV, but the shooting in IV seemed more...fluid to me.
GTA 4: Realistic that it might sound like real life.
GTA 5: It kinda focus into gaming experience thats why it sound so satisfying.

All I can say is I played GTA IV when it was brand new, and I pre-ordered GTA V when it was brand new. All I can say is, I liked GTA V, but it was moreso like an interactive, nature reserve than an actual world. The city felt lifeless, say the same thing to the same people over and over again. Side-missions that would only please Jesse Pinkmen; come on Rockstar, this isn't 20 year slump, it's only been nearly 10 years.
GTA V also has a story issue, where I feel I'm watching a movie designed by Michael Bay, but somebody else who is slightly high. The characters are plastic, Michael is basically a extremely dubbed down Walter White (a guy with an X issue, so he's doing a Y result), Franklin is basically Eazy-E with extreme, whiny, and disobete issues, and Trevor is just The Walking Dead walking. He's a soap opera, he's strung out, he's overberring, and honestly I enjoyed killing him, made me feel as if I was pulling the plug on The Walking Dead.
The guns are like what I've fired from an actual airsoft rifle, just a bunch of air, or "fake" rounds. The arcade style driving from the 90's, would work if it was the 90's, or 2000's. Overall, it's a 7/10, nearly 6, but for unknown reasons I'm giving it a 7, I can hardly find a good aspect maybe apart from graphics are improved.
Now, GTA IV I recently replayed on Xbox One, and I was happy with the results. The fighting, missions, guns, control, abilites all felt slightly dry, but understandable, good. I push certain buttons to beat up somebody, and they fall, amazing, but not as extensive as some may say, but it's enough to occupy some. The cars aren't as boaty as most proclaim they are, some cars are, most aren't. I never had an issue with the "boaty" feel, moreso the brakes weren't the greatest. The side-missions feel like reality, you meet somebody with issues, or people with a problem, and you give them an assistence in assorting that issue, done, get money.
The story is on par with cop-thillers from the 1970's. I could rate the story alone 8, or 9/10, mainly because it was a better example of an X issue, and a Y result. Niko Belic is attempting to escape the pressures of his European life, so he is given an oppertunity in America to set a bar. Then he deals with the Russian Mafia, and then he tears ass through the Liberty City underworld to aquire what he wants (he's basically a European Walter White, just with no family, no DEA issues, no meth lab, and no RV).
Bottom line, play GTA IV or piss your pants.

GTA IV gun sounds remind me of the 3D era. And it's funny how people talk here anything but gun sounds.

Rashid Mohammed That's because there was not a first person mode in GTA IV, it was added by a mod which replaces Niko's head with the camera, which is more realistic and I feel like every game should do that nowadays

The Gta 4 chamber loading sounds more realistic than gta 5.
Plus in gta 5 the weapon firing sound effect is faster then the actual weapon firing. It sounds like is shooting two bullets when in reality it’s only shooting one. Plus.... the firing effect in gta 4 are more aggressive and louder than in gta 5.
