It's so enjoyable watching this Claire! Your talent is amazing & the heart & soul you put into your work is just beautiful! I have such a passion for this art. My journey has just begun in painting reborns, then I will move onto silicone painting & eventually sculpting. I hope I can find a mentor in sculpting the way that you did! It's really neat hearing about your journey & it's also very inspiring!
I tend to hide away & "disappear" when I'm focusing on a baby. I like to shut off the rest of the world & go into my own little journey & it's truly food for my soul! Everyone wonders where I am, but it has to be that way for me to truly enjoy & just create.

This time I'm sculpting in polymer clay. I have used plasticine, it was the first clay I ever used. Polymer clay baked and becomes hard. Plasticine doesn't bake.

May I ask what brand of polymer clay you prefer??? What is the very best call for sculpting babies in your opinion please?? Love your work!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Depends on which one I decide to use. I use a variety of polymer clay and sometimes I use oil based reusable clays too.
What kind of clay do tou use that don't crack?
Almost every clay I use over the years doesn’t crack, I’ve used all the popular polymer clays. They don’t crack, except for one creall therm, I used it about 25 years ago and it cracked and crumbled a few weeks after the doll was completed although it came out the oven without cracks. I don’t like super sculpey it got too many moonies and it’s very brittle so I don’t use it.

It varies depending on which polymer clay you use. Follow the instructions on the polymer clay package you choose.
