Welcome back to The Farm. We put down our bikes and left the backyard dirt jumps to have a huge head to head field rally car race. I brought along my Ariel Nomad and Mazda MX5. And Ben just bought a Porsche 944. So 3 rear wheel drive cars, 40 years apart with 300bhp, 160bhp and 170bhp all going against each other in a drag race start and epic drift car grass rally course. Which will win? What should we race next?

That's what I was thinking. Also, if the battery can't hold a charge from the alternator, could it cause it to act similar?
the battery is only responsible for providing power when the engine is not running, once the engine is running, the alternator provides power for the car, if the alternator is not functioning then the car takes power from the battery which is not a generator like the alternator is and will quickly be depleted of its charge. if the battery cant hold a charge then the car wont start, or another possibility is the car has an ignition off draw

@@TheBlakus420 if it was an ignition problem, there wouldnt be any spark at all and the car wouldnt run period

Drifting slows you down mate. And the alternator will be the problem on the mx5 mate. Loved the video nice to have you back
Ben don't take the glass out of the windows to respray the Porshe as the roof will drop and you will need to cut it off to refit the glass. My friend learned the hard way.

944 = $3k-$6k, BUT the 944 Turbo = $12K+

Porsche 944 is my dream car. My parents borrowed one for a week in 1986. I know they are a bit poop and probably would break down forever but I’d like to at least own one.

The 944 was kind of an "entry-level" type Porsche. Lots of them around and really affordable. Great way to get into a sweet track car.

Power to weight ratio is good on paper and the track, not so much on grass though.
