The FA shit themselves. Travesty really
Yep the question is how he would managed the England players from the late 1970s a crop of real excellence had come up and established players already..(Brooking, Keegan, Wilkins and Shilton)...i think very well.. a totally regressive decision by the FA that impacted the English national team for years, Greenwood was the wrong man...he was a temp at best..with Brian taking over from 1978 onwards..
the best man never to have the England job, he wouldn't stand for the prima donnas around now, great man, great manager, amazing brain.
Brian Clough bit of a wind up merchant and comedian and of course a legend love him
"Do you know why God gave us grass? To play football on it, not in the air." He was very conciliatory in this interview. Not brash, or argumentative. I can't believe he didn't win the FA cup, but he won everything else though - legend! RIP in your nice dream mate.
"He should of been sent of before he got on the pitch" haha could say what you want about clough and god knows what he said behind closed doors but there was only one Brian Clough.
An Icon of English football and an amazing man
