only complaint about this was it was obviously rushed considering Rhea made her entrance 1 minute before the cut off time and even had to have ring side people push her to get into the ring before the show got cut off. Feel like they should have manged the time better because this was a big moment. Regardless Rhea's pop was dope

I totally agree. I was hoping for nice shot of her entrance, but we didn’t get it. That entrance walkway seemed longer than usual. So the cameraman just waited for her. Only small complaint

They posted that video of Liv for a reason watching it all unfold. It makes you question her intentions. You start wondering is she smiling because she's got Dom now, is she smiling because Rhea is back, or is she smiling because she never wanted Dom just wanted to cause major tension between Rhea & Dom.
It makes sense to throwing out the stipulation because of the pinfall botch. You can say, Seth SHOULD have won, so Priest wants a rematch to prove that he can win.

I disagree with Simon about Priest casting aside the “gentleman’s agreement” about Seth not getting another shot at the title if Priest is still the champion. Punk did screw over Seth, but Priest showed respect and honor to Seth, and he was the only one who could set that aside. It was another move toward a full face turn for Priest. He’s been an honorable champion since he won the title. I don’t know if I’m in the minority, but I actually like that he’s the champion right now, more than the idea of Drew being champion, because Drew’s looking like a dope in his interactions with CM Punk (except for the spot where Drew carried in a bloodied Punk, when he took the bracelet).
This 100%. It shows Priest has a brain, he knows he didn't win clean and Seth shouldn't have to stick to an agreement that he didnt break.

Honestly Damien Priest has surprised me. when he won money in the bank I had a hard time buying him as a real contender for the title, but I've actually enjoyed his title run. That being said Gunther absolutely should win at SummerSlam lol

Simon to push back on the gentleman's agreement thing. They heavily implied that the reason Damian said that was because of the Ref screw up. If there was no screw up than Seth would be Champ and the agreement would be in place. It's not that they just decided to ignore it. If that hadn't happened, I guarantee they would not have ignored the agreement. So honestly i think your putting way too much thought into it. Seth got screwed so Damian did the babyface move BECAUSE their agreement was undermined by the ref and interference.

I agree with you Simon on the Damien and Seth stipulation. I think they should have gone a better way about it like Damien telling Seth “I won the match, but I didn’t beat you. It wasn’t a 1 on 1 because Drew cashed in so you still have an opportunity.” Or something like that.
Priest should have said because I didn't pin you the agreement doesn't apply but it doesn't matter much.

For me I take the Rollins and priest segment as since Rollins wasn’t pinned or submitted, that the agreement was voided seeing as things went wacky. I bet the non kickout also played in the fact the stipulation was voided. Makes me think Gunther will lose at summerslam or maybe even shanagins occur setting up a triple threat at the ppv at the end of August

I always thought the secondary belt should be the top belts on the show and there should be one world champion.
So you treat the Intercontinental United States champions as the top guys of Raw and SmackDown and the World Heavyweight Champion goes back and forth

In this case, I don't have a problem with Damian getting rid of the stipulation at MITB. I see it as Damian acknowledging that Seth had a good chance of winning had Drew and CM not gotten involved wanting to have a chance for there to be a clean and clear winner between the two of them.
@12:40 - I was never a fan of AwesomeTruth coming up. I thought they were a place holder for J-Day and Rhea Ripley's return. What better PROS to fill the slot than crazy Ron Killings and Miz? Both CRAZY skilled in the ring and equally fun on the mic? I say I wasn't a fan but I just saw them as that place holder until the timeline was right and Rhea was ready to come back.
@3:59 - Dom is show ALL the sides he needs to show to be in Pro-rastlin. He has the in-ring skills but it is THESE kinds of thing that he is showing off with the whole Liv Morgan piece. The soft stuff, the theatrical stuff. He is just NAILING! The kiss with Liv after pinning Rey? Back that up and watch again a few times. His and her timing on all that? Perhaps instinctual but it was MONEY! Vince would be proud.
I like Damien getting rid of the stipulation because it shows that he's honorable. He wanted to beat Seth straight up 1v1 and that's not how it happened. Perfect quality for a face turn.

When Rhea walked to the ring, I felt massive Chyna vibes, great stuff also the end of raw made me get tickets for this coming Monday's Raw
I've been saying for years that the women's division needs a midcard title to help build new stars and reward people like Zelina who keep getting put in feuds to put people over. W might be a little much, but 1 floating title between the brands would work well

hello Simon, first: thanks for all your good shows & your positivity ... but at minimum you were three times wrong this Raw, so i do the Simon-Corrector ;)
1) Liv and Dom are not a couple and betray Rhea; whenever the camera catches them, only Liv is the driving force ... she tries to seduce him, she helps him & Judgment Day to win matches, the only thing that is unclear is whether she is in love with Dom or whether she just wants to take him away from Rhea
2) not everyone is a fan of CM Punk, I wish he & Drew would have an Inferno match at Bad Blood with Drew carrying some extra gas ...
3) Damian will not lose his title against Gunther at Summerslam, so there are still at least four possible title candidates with Damian, Drew, Punk & Seth ... a face turn would then make little sense. The conditions that Damian is now throwing away for Seth are to his disadvantage. He does this because he wants to prove himself, it's about honor and who is better in a duel.
Survivor Series could have an epic main event pitting these 4 + Gunther + X in an Elimination-Match...!!!

@4:44 - Yeah I dunno. Ya got two BIG SHOTS who had a great match (minus the timing thing) that seem to respect each other. I think this was Damien's Face turn being completed a bit. Damien as a Heel woulda laughed and just said 'F YOU, BACK A THE LINE PAL!' but a turning Face Damien put the stipulation aside. As J-Day collapses\changes, we may be seeing Damien and Seth and some other folks coming up against New J-Day under Finn at a later PLE?
I do wish Rhea's return was at the MiTB PPV, but Liv didn't have a match, it was still a great return. MAMI is back and everyone is on notice.
I think we keep it on Priest for summer slam . Gunther just held a title for FOREVER. It’s no point.
Making a new title doesn’t make sense. I already wasn’t behind the women’s tag team division despite GREAT women’s tag teams because there’s just not enough teams, and the men’s tag division barely gets any focus. A women’s IC title wouldn’t work because where’s the TV time coming from? Is it going to be another dual-brand title? Also Rhea Ripley’s return getting cut off is insane. Hurry up and move to Netflix-a platform which I hate-and move Smacksown there too. A show should be able to go 5 minutes over for something of this magnitude.
I do think with Drew and Punk given the nature of this feud, we will be getting some sort of no holds barred/no DQ/Falls count anywhere type match match, that way we can have Seth interfere without having to make an official triple threat or have anyone DQ’d.

I wasn't a big fan of Punk in the past...but I like him un the present and how his character is presented. He is on the border line of babyface and heel... he's doing the best work of his career yet...I hope he can stay healthy and make this fued with Drew and Seth a masterpiece
You know, while I agree that sooner rather than later Finn and Damian will have a falling-out, I don't think Damian not telling the others will be the reason. Because when Damian said "I'm not gonna say anything, Dominik will find out on his own" the others were grinning like mad - they knew exactly what was about to happen. Besides, I dunno what Finn has to do with Liv (yet), but JD will continue to oppose Dirty Dom and Liv because "that mustache has to go".
Apart from that, this episode was great, one moment it was all super serious (like with Punk and Seth or with the Wyatt Sick6) and the next I was laughing out loud (pretty much all the Judgement Day segments). Good matches too, I hope Ilja Dragunov's shin is okay, he had a pretty nasty gash after hitting it on the top of Rita the Ringpost.
What I also love is that many of the stories are intertwining, they're making callbacks to what was going on weeks and months (and years, in some cases) ago.
So, yeah. Good episode, looking forward to Smackdown now.
Edit: I have to disagree on your assessment of the Damian/Seth thing. Because it wasn't "you know, let's just not care about the stipulation", it was very much "you know, I really respect you, and it'd be a shame if we couldn't do that again soon, so let's agree to not keep up that agreement". It was also the most obvious face move Damian has done so far, so it all ties in - although it makes me wonder if Gunther will actually win at Hot Wrestlemania. That little agreement and handshake between Seth and Damian would've been pointless if Damian loses the title anyway and they can just have normal non-title matches (and/or Seth goes after Gunther). Then again, in that respect, if Damian loses the title, it will have been "another step down faceturn lane", so I guess it's fine either way.

When you think about it. Preist is right though. The match was between them both. So when Drew turned it into a triple threat it basically removed anything to do between both of them. It's like saying " Just because i pinned Drew. You don't get anymore chances." . I am sure Preist would've kept the agreement if he had pinned Seth in the one vs one match they had. If Drew came in after their match i think would've been a different story.
I wish they gave dom and liv another 2weeks to really get close after beating Rey , and really celebrate and make things more interesting, felt rushed , she should have came back when they were in there height

I thought Damien throwing out that stipulation made perfect sense, he fucked up (in kayfabe the ref fucked up) and he wants to prove his metal against a challenger he respects without controversy.

see my only problem with the seth hate towards punk is it's like 2 + 2 = potato logic for seth.....because as the match had unfolded Punks interference actually kinda saved seth from losing the match when he started attacking Drew, Priest is the one that knocked him out of the ring and there was quite a lot of time since that moment and when punk finished beating on Drew that in a normal triple threat you usually see Seth recover in that amount of time. Now if Punk had inadvertently ran over Seth or did something to really knock him out of it while wasting Drew, I could see it there but Punk's interference literally had no impact on the fact Seth didn't get the win. Perhaps it was supposed to be more like that but maybe after the botch they just didn't recover right.
But also I did call it right after the match was over that Priest would agree to a rematch because it wasn't a clean win, which is his continued narrative that even though he hasn't had Judgement Day interfering, someone else has so he hasn't really had a clean win and still has that to prove to himself.

Instead of introducing women's mid card belt, why don't you make the nxt women's north american title eligible to be defended on all 3 brands elevating the belt and nxt too as a viable 3rd brand.

I really try to embrace Simon's positive thinking. And it's really helped digest wrestling in a more fun way. But man, I just can't get behind anything punk does. It seems he's being pushed as a face as opposed to Drew's heel character. Yet, everything he does and says comes off like a complete butthole. He gaslights, doesn't take responsibility for his actions, backhanded apology, etc. He's a heel. Drew's a heel. They're all heels lol. I guess you could argue it's better writing in the sense they feel more like real characters versus the over the top, black n white cartoonish characters we got back in the day. I dunno. My fav segment this week was when punk was talkin and hulu cut the feed. That was nice

people who complain when a wrestler misses a move really bug me, because it's proof they've never seen baseball. Every batter is trying to hit every ball, every time. Do they hit every ball every time ? No. Not by a long shot. Do we call every single missed ball a botch that disrespects the fans ? No we do not. Also, every pitcher is trying to make sure the batter MISSES the ball, every pitch, every time. Are they successful one hundred percent of the time ? No, not by a long shot. Money in the Bank was fine. The women's ladder match was incredible. the ONLY way it could have been better would have been if Piper Nivin and / or R-Truth had shown up to try and lift Chelsea on their shoulders. Maybe if Piper had lifted R-Truth, and then Chelsea tried to climb the pair of them but come up an inch sort.
My guess is that Seth will be added to the Priest v Gunther match, so that’s why he is allowed to challenge for the belt. Seth is a major player and he can’t miss Summerslam
I think.. Damien only made the stipulation to show strength as a leader of Judgement Day.
Money in the Bank goes down, he doesn't kick out. Punk ruins his finish. Seth HATES Punk because of all of this. And it's creating hell in Seth's professional life.
Thinking about everything with Liv and possibly leaving Judgement Day and tension with Finn and Dom.. his real feelings towards Seth is he respects him and he never wanted to put Seth in that position in the first place.
Gunther doesn’t need the championship unless it’s as a transitional run. He’s like a even more boring Super Cena with like 3 moves and none of the charisma.

Would have been cool to see a story where Rollins was so salty he doesn’t have a title and doesn’t have a way to challenge for one of the top titles immediately, so he goes down to NXT in a heel turn and takes the NXT championship bc his ego has ballooned so big he literally can’t go without a title around his waist.
Meanwhile, Messy Liv (🧸)🏆 is bragging about wrecking Rhea's Crew! Liv singing "I took your Man because I have it like that but it doesn't have to be like that!!

They should have made it so that Seth was #1 contender but couldn't take the match, so he ends up having to defend his #1 contendership against various wrestlers who want his spot, almost making him a champion of sorts despite holding no belt...
