I bought this deodorant today. Native. It’s $13 usd at my local Walmart which is INSANE! I’ll not buy it anymore. A lot of my friends want to try it as well but haven’t because it’s sooo expensive when we can spend $3-$6 on one that works great.
Useful tip, if you ever forget to apply deodorant or your deodorant isnt working when you're out of the house, go to the bathroom and use either hand sanitizer or regular soap and apply it to your pits, let it dry there without wiping away and you'll be set an hour or two. Goodluck!

I had the same issue with the rash thing. I did some research and realized it was the baking soda that was irritating me. Try going for the sensitive brands in the shmits, primal pit paste, and Nubian heritage.
The regular shmits rose and vanilla work for me but it breaks me out... I bought the sensitive one but it doesn't work as well around 2pm I'm not so fresh... 😒
The baking soda formulations always worked very well as far as controlling odor, but i would always eventually get a rash due to the baking soda. With Native, I re-ordered their sensitive skin formula and didn't have any issues with sensitivity or rashes.
I like how you’re replying to the kids that probably need someone to talk to about this. I’ve been vegan on and off but I’m really trying this time. I’ve also been aluminum free on and off too. Baking soda doesn’t break me out and helps with odor so I’ll be hopefully making my own paste.

I was vegan on and off for a long time cuz it really is hard to go out and to other people’s houses, but now I’ve been doing it full out for a few months and my motto really is just, if I’m going to mess up so be it, just keep going the next meal. Getting frustrated with yourself and treating it like a diet is the worst thing you can do because then you’ll just give up. Good luck
I love Schmidt’s I never smell when I use it. I love the lavender and bergamot the most. Charcoal was good too. I had a slight rash at first but kept using it. I noticed it was making my skin dry so I put oil under my arms then put the deodorant on first. No more issues. Kopari and lavanilla deodorants were a joke for me.

Good video, tarte is not non toxic though, they still have chemicals. My favorite clean deodorant is called routine. It's the only one that has ever worked for me
People need to remember that your skin is an organ. It is part of the integumentary system, along with hair, nails, etc. Just remember when doing research to consider who is conducting the research as some research may be biased. Also consider the sample size, how the study was conducted, etc. Correlation does not equal causation... just because two things happen at the same time does not mean one thing causes another. Thank you for being honest with your experiences! Also, makeup wise, there are so many great indi brands (many less expensive, plus sample sizes and free samples) out there with awesome ingredients. I got into them when I was dealing with cystic acne. Lucy minerals, silk naturals, (their lash serum works and is only $5, I get asked if I am wearing falsies), root, etc. Always worth looking into when switching to a more natural lifestyle.
Hey! I’m 13 and I have a very bad under arm Odor. It started in around 4th grade but it’s just gotten worse. I honestly don’t know what to do. I take showers from 15-25 minutes. I get out and put on my suave, baking soda/ degree deodorant and I would smell fine for about an hour, then bam. It’s like I haven’t took a shower for days. It’s honestly very sad. I would come home from school and my parents would ask if I put on deodorant. And it hurts. It’s taken 3 years for my family to point it out, and I KNOW my friends smell me. I’m pretty sure kids in my class talk about me. Once I miss placed me sweater and I found one (because me and my friend have matching) and one of my friends really said smell the arm area. That really hurt. But I just want help, I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Do you have anything for me that could help honestly? Anybody? Thanks. Alright, it’s been about a year and I’ve lost this comment. But the native deodorant did not work ! However, it smelt really good and if you’re smell isn’t as strong go for it ! It would work for 20 minutes then my arms would just smell really bad, especially in the hot. Since then, I’ve been using dove. I know it’s probably one that I should have been using but oh wel. It works I guess...a very faint smell still appears but it’s not as terrible as it use to be. I’m also working more on my hygiene. So teeth, showers. proudbtstrash b I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going thru it really breaks my heart to hear. I honestly would stop all those non natural deodorants they are not healthy and clog your pores that is why it’s probably not working for you more than an hour, I would try the Native or Kopari if I was you. It’s going to have a detox period so you’ll think it’s not working but it’s your body just unclogging it’s self and within the week or so (every body is different) you’ll notice a huge difference and you’ll even sweat less under your arm pits. Could you please update me on this? I want to know if the deodorant worked for you or not. I had the SAME problem throughout most of my younger years and I know how bad you can feel. It gets super hurtful even though your friends or relatives might not mean any bad. I smelled really bad too, fresh out of the shower I would put on anything my parents recommended nothing worked. I've been using a deodorant that saved my life (after trying a ton of them) but it's not natural... And tbh I am too scared to leave my usual one for a natural one, even though I know it's a better change.
The rash from the Schmidt’s is from the rough texture I use it too and have never had armpit rashes and i’m looking for a switch! came across this video and crazy you get rashes too, it’s from the texture for sure and it’s practically cutting our skin i think because the consistency is so rough and almost like a scrub 😬. When u do the change 2 natural u should do a underarm detox mask 2 help accelerate the detoxification. I find dusting is also work after applying the natural deodorant. Make sure the deodorant is dry very good.

I tried the Schmidt citrus line. It gave me a bad rash. BUT it was the best smelling deodorant EVER. I now use Tom's for men. Still on the search for something that will last through the day and gym.

Personally for me, the Kopari deodorant really didn’t work. It smelled nice and I thought it would be great but after 30 minutes of light jogging my pits were really smelly. Maybe I worked for more than it guarantees I’m not sure, but I’m now using Schmidt’s Lavender Sage deodorant and I love it
The baking soda PH is not working with your body. I ALWAYS get a rash with the baking soda ones. They work the best, but for a lot of people it does cause a rash.
I believe that only Native's sensitive line does have beeswax (if I'm not mistaken), the regular ones are vegan but have baking soda in them. I've read wonderful things about Lume though, if you're in the US or Canada this brand might be a great alternative for anyone who reacts badly to baking soda

Lumē deodorant is the best. It doesn't mask the smell it eliminates it. I love the unscented one. The one that's scented on is not for me but if you like lavender then you may like it. You're getting a rash because of the baking soda any other brands. Lumē has no baking soda in it or parabens and it was created by an OBGYN for pits and private parts. Love, love, love it!
I have been thinking of trying and switching to a natural deodorant! Specifically native Sense they are cruelty free and vegan plus their scent options sound nice! or even the zion health deodorant. Right now I use the old spice hawkridge deodorant but after watching this videos of natural deodorants and discovering native and have been considering, I realized aluminum which is in the old spice deodorant and parabin That is in most deodorants can lead to breast cancer and stuff like that so that’s why I want to switch I’m also open to more natural deodorant options if one or more are better than the other. I don’t have sensitive skin and don’t have sensitive armpits at all. Any deodorant I have used never gave me problems so I don’t think I’ll have a negative reaction like some people have cause of having sensitive skin.
Just so y'all know, "cruelty free" products are only able to exist because someone else has already done the cruelty. The FDA passes the products because they are so similar to products that were already approved that animal testing on them would be redundant.
So I’ve been looking more into the ingredients in products that I put on my body and ingest. For years my mother and I have used men’s deodorant due to our strong odor. I’ve been trying to use natural deodorants but I’m scared they won’t work. Would you recommend these? If so which ones?
Try using lemons.Rub them on don't use the same slice on each armpit and wash off in the shower.Its the sweat that is haboring bacteria that creates odor but give natural a try.I use secret natural deodorant
i'm totally up for a challenge....i have found NOTHING that lasts longer than my SMELLMENOT deodorant. mine has lasted 2 days, putting it on in the morning, and showering the 2nd day, lasts till about 5 or 6 the next day...yeah, freaked me out too. one amazing thing i found out accidently, you can totally eat it and it doesn't taste gross or like you want to throw up or call 911. ..lol. Yes i took 2 yrs to formulate the final formula, and i never created it to sell, just made it for myself. Please please Please, i CHALLENGE LUME,NATIVE, SCHMITS & KOPARI, on it's non-toxicity (edible), smell, absorbability, and ingredients. BRING IT ON!!

natural doesn’t ALWAYS mean better and any doctor or dermatologist will tell you that. A lot of people are afraid of the word “chemical” but even water is a chemical. So is oxygen. And we need both to survive and thrive and to be healthy. Don’t just go for something because it’s “all natural”. Actually do some research on the product before you spend a bunch of money on it. As far as “clogged pores” goes.... jojoba oil is 100% natural and amazing for you but it’s a 2 as far as comedogenic. So it WILL clog pores. Grape seed oil is 100% natural and is a 0 so it won’t clog pores. “Natural” doesn’t mean it won’t clog pores or that it’s better than other things. Same goes for your rash. “Which is weird because I didn’t get rashes when they were filled with all kinds of stuff.” Some of that stuff isn’t bad for you like you think it is. There are natural products as well that are super bad for you.
Does anyone else put deodorant on their boobs? I live in socal and I get boob sweat year round lol When I dont like the way a deodorant works on my pits, I just use it for my boobs and it always works for me there
I saw those documentaries about animal cruelty and what have ya'... and NO - they were in no sense pleasant to look at and I would detest such horrid behavior done to the living creatures (it is simply inhumane.) But there is no one on earth that will make me a vegetarian or vegan - simply because that is MY choice. See, the reason I said "no one" is because to become a vegetarian and what have ya', this means I have to alter MY life because of the wrong-doings of other people treating those animals to such extent. And besides, eating only green things, I would become hungry like in an hour... Think about it... Sorry for the vent - I couldn't help it lol. =) Oh and thanks for the advice btw.

The baking soda is probably what caused the rash.
Native has a line for sensitive without backing soda but the one in the video has baking soda

Schmidt's deodorant works and smells good all day, my concern is that it stained my arm pits a little bit and I just don't wanna need to lighten them

Update: The $12 Native didn't last like $4.5 schmits or smell as good. still using schmits charcoal to this day, no issues. I aint a lady

Lumē deodorant is the best. It doesn't mask the smell it eliminates it. I love the unscented one. The one that's scented on is not for me but if you like lavender then you may like it. You're getting a rash because of the baking soda any other brands. Lumē has no baking soda in it or parabens and it was created by an OBGYN for pits and private parts. Love, love, love it!

Try baking soda free deodorants. If you have sensitive skin the baking soday can be super irritating. Try the sensitive skin formulas.

I have been thinking of trying and switching to a natural deodorant! Specifically native Sense they are cruelty free and vegan plus their scent options sound nice! or even the zion health deodorant.
Right now I use the old spice hawkridge deodorant but after watching this videos of natural deodorants and discovering native and have been considering, I realized aluminum which is in the old spice deodorant and parabin
That is in most deodorants can lead to breast cancer and stuff like that so that’s why I want to switch
I’m also open to more natural deodorant options if one or more are better than the other.
I don’t have sensitive skin and don’t have sensitive armpits at all. Any deodorant I have used never gave me problems so I don’t think I’ll have a negative reaction like some people have cause of having sensitive skin.

Native and Schmidt’s both worn good for me in the Florida heat but I have to reapply and I have to change up the scents or my body gets used to it

Just so y'all know, "cruelty free" products are only able to exist because someone else has already done the cruelty. The FDA passes the products because they are so similar to products that were already approved that animal testing on them would be redundant.

So I’ve been looking more into the ingredients in products that I put on my body and ingest. For years my mother and I have used men’s deodorant due to our strong odor. I’ve been trying to use natural deodorants but I’m scared they won’t work. Would you recommend these? If so which ones?
Try using lemons.Rub them on don't use the same slice on each armpit and wash off in the shower.Its the sweat that is haboring bacteria that creates odor but give natural a try.I use secret natural deodorant
I recommend green ridings or green theory! They both have probiotics which is a big factor in their deodorants and it helps with the smell a lot!

Could be a baking soda allergy, same happened with me to I changed to a baking soda free deodorant.
i'm totally up for a challenge....i have found NOTHING that lasts longer than my SMELLMENOT deodorant. mine has lasted 2 days, putting it on in the morning, and showering the 2nd day, lasts till about 5 or 6 the next day...yeah, freaked me out too. one amazing thing i found out accidently, you can totally eat it and it doesn't taste gross or like you want to throw up or call 911. ..lol. Yes i took 2 yrs to formulate the final formula, and i never created it to sell, just made it for myself. Please please Please, i CHALLENGE LUME,NATIVE, SCHMITS & KOPARI, on it's non-toxicity (edible), smell, absorbability, and ingredients. BRING IT ON!!

natural doesn’t ALWAYS mean better and any doctor or dermatologist will tell you that. A lot of people are afraid of the word “chemical” but even water is a chemical. So is oxygen. And we need both to survive and thrive and to be healthy. Don’t just go for something because it’s “all natural”. Actually do some research on the product before you spend a bunch of money on it.
As far as “clogged pores” goes.... jojoba oil is 100% natural and amazing for you but it’s a 2 as far as comedogenic. So it WILL clog pores. Grape seed oil is 100% natural and is a 0 so it won’t clog pores. “Natural” doesn’t mean it won’t clog pores or that it’s better than other things.
Same goes for your rash. “Which is weird because I didn’t get rashes when they were filled with all kinds of stuff.” Some of that stuff isn’t bad for you like you think it is. There are natural products as well that are super bad for you.

I saw those documentaries about animal cruelty and what have ya'... and NO - they were in no sense pleasant to look at and I would detest such horrid behavior done to the living creatures (it is simply inhumane.) But there is no one on earth that will make me a vegetarian or vegan - simply because that is MY choice. See, the reason I said "no one" is because to become a vegetarian and what have ya', this means I have to alter MY life because of the wrong-doings of other people treating those animals to such extent. And besides, eating only green things, I would become hungry like in an hour...
