Strong Tornado in NRW Germany - May 2022

Strong tornadoes caused major damage in western Germany. The cities of Lippstadt and Paderborn were particularly affected. Supercells with golf ball to tennis ball-sized hail also formed in southwestern Germany. Meanwhile, new temperature records of up to 42° C were measured from Spain via France to southern Germany.
