Dude I thought I would score full but Candle Kitty got me😂 Actually I've never came across Williamson either so yeah another learning episode for me by you 👏 You really are at your element when it's these historical and factual videos Matt, absolutely love watching them. Cheers my friend 🥃
Thanks for the kind words man, You never know how a video idea will go until you try it. Happy to hear you enjoyed it. I'm hoping to find myself a bottle of Candle Kitty soon, something about the name is just the right combination of witty and silly. And Williamson's can be great value alternatives to the Laphroaig 10 CS. Cheers Sertug! 🥃
Loving these off the beaten path type of whisky videos! That was a great list. Some I already knew. Some I had no idea about. The candle kitty one is so cool
Glenfiddich and Balvenie feature in the 2nd part. I also confuse which one is which because they are good neighbours and help each other lol. Hope you were lucky in your auction! Cheers man 🥃
Thanks Sandy! The Polish Oak Single Cask was quite the treat. Glad you're enjoying it. If I get the chance to get to know a full bottle of it I could see it becoming a favourite. Cheers Sandy 🥃
I did not known either Kirkcowan or Blue Hill! Those were new ones, but ones I'll watch for! Craigallechie is phenomenal stuff. And I'm loving my Ex-Bourbon Cask Bladnoch whiskies so I'll watch for Kirkcowan as well. Thanks Watchman! Cheers 🥃
You can have an entire episode naming all the caol ila ones😂 One that I like is the finlaggan. Someone once commented that it was caol ila juice aged or finished in ex-lagavulin casks. What great recipe
You really could!!! The Caol Ila ones are endless it seems. Let's hope it stays that way because the Port Askaig, Finlaggan, ect bottlings I've had that are Caol Ila are always solid. And I've been to Finlaggan Castle so I think you've just inspired the need for a bottle of Finlaggan on the shelf! Cheers 🥃
@@whiskyonthewestcoast I was pretty unimpressed with the lineup when it comes to what I am interested in. I did manage to find a sudden appearance of Laphroaig 10 CS a couple days ago and I just went for that for my scotch purchase for the month. How about you?
The only one I didn't know was Glenmosset, but I do have another 12 on my own list (and could probably come up with a few more if I put in the effort...). Well presented! I have bottles of Williamson and Candle Kitty, plus 3 you didn't feature, although I wonder if you know where Wardhead, Dalrymple and the Macphunn come from... (in Part 2 maybe?)
Wow, great score! I'm glad there was at least one you didn't know! Hopefully that made it worth watching Andrew. As for the the additional 3, Wardhead was in part 2, which I think we may reshoot. It's in there with Burnside as well because good neighbour's hang out together. I know Dalrymple is Alisa Bay but I was not familiar with Macphunn! It seems to be Ardmore to me though! Thanks for adding that one to the encyclopedia. Cheers Andrew 🥃
8 out of 9 is a fantastic score Travis! 👏 Well done! Blairfindy is definitely a deeper cut. The only Blairfindy's I've seen have been from Blackadder in their Raw Cask series. Master of malt has a few too though.
That's nearly perfect so we'll done! You don't see too many Westport's so that was a tougher one. I don't know if the 2nd part will be harder or easier. Cheers 🥃
Thanks Dileep! Signatory making us happy with those Staoisha's. Thanks goodness for Caol Ila and all of its many secret permutations! In the 2nd part I only briefly cover Finlaggan, Port Askaig and others just because, while they are 90% of the time Caol Ila, those ones aren't always. Cheers friend 🥃

@@whiskyonthewestcoast You're most welcome Matt :)
Ps. I think Candle Kitty would also be a great name for a strip club😅
Such a great video. Bring on Part 2!
Thanks man! Hoping to have it up sometime next week. Also, where in the U.S. are you located? Cheers 🥃
Loving these off the beaten path type of whisky videos! That was a great list. Some I already knew. Some I had no idea about. The candle kitty one is so cool
Thanks man! Yeah Candle Kitty 🕯😺 is just a great name for a secret whisky. Hopefully I've got enough interesting ones for part 2! Cheers 🥃
Fun idea for a video! I got all but 2. Others I always forget are Glenfiddich and Balvenie. Looking forward to part 2! Cheers, Matt!

@@whiskyonthewestcoastThe auction actually took forever to close and I lost what I was going after. But, I was quick enough to get a backup. Cheers!
Superb! Didn't know Candle Kitty
I was hunting the Candle Kitty earlier this week 🕯 😺 The hunt was unsuccessful for the 12 year old cat. Glad you enjoyed the video! Cheers buddy 🥃
I got four of 'em, Matt! Looking forward to the next video, great topic.
4 ain't bad! And please knock out #99 and LAFC 🙏 Cheers Jerry 🥃
Good video Matt. I love the Benromach Polish cask!
Thanks Sandy! The Polish Oak Single Cask was quite the treat. Glad you're enjoying it. If I get the chance to get to know a full bottle of it I could see it becoming a favourite. Cheers Sandy 🥃
Kirkcowan is?? You’ve reviewed a bunch :)
And one of my favorites is Blue Hill. Like Elk Mountain on a warm spring day.

Great and interesting content, I had no idea, and am now looking out for Candle Kitty and other whiskys you mentioned
Thanks Euan! 🕯😺 There are a ton more so I'll try to get the second part of this list out soon.
Excellent information. Thank you so much!
Thanks for watching! You hoping to grab anything at the spirits release this week?

@@whiskyonthewestcoast the Macphunn is actually Glenfarclas - I wonder why Ardmore came up? I look forward to Part 2...
@@andrewbutler7681 Good to know. Both names came up in my searches under that name, but more so Ardmore. Very Interesting!
Definitely didn't know the glenfarclas one (and already forgot it), but 8 out of 9 ain't too shabby.

Nicely done Travis. I did not do very well.
Only missed one, didn't know the name for Glenmorangie

Signatory sells Bunnahabhain Staoisha! Scarabus is likely Caol Ila.
