Great advice bud , his fishing will get better from guys like you in the know and your help to him is fantastic , pitty some fishoes are arsholes when it comes to helping others , his fishing techniques like casting positions being way to high up on the rocks in undesirable places to land his fish etc he will figure out after losing tackle enough times , it happens to all of us , rocks will always beat plastic as they say.

Hey mate, great location, know the people who own that place, great people. Also I deliver down there with coles. If you go back, order online and get it delivered there!! Better then the rip offs at the supermarkets there

Man to fast track your learning on rock fishing and land based fishing I would say is to see if you can get someone who knows the area your going to and to go with you and watch what other fishoes are doing and baits and rigs , some really good fishing fellows you can meet I found are on marinas , don’t discount marinas there is some really good fishing around boat harbours and usually there are top blokes about that will help , some won’t but there is some great fellas who will , I have even had fish given to me because the guy felt sorry for me lol I was having a really crap day but I didn’t quit , even showed me a few things and I have been improving from learning from others , that’s my 2 cents worth mate , also ask questions guys will also help in that regard to if your stuck and not sure about things. All the best.

Johanna Beach is a very deep water that's why it produces big fish during the day and big gummy sharks at night try using a popper when surf fishing also you need to learn how to read the beach for deep gutters and holes bro

Those bait junkie soft plastics are notorious for coming off the hook. Borderline unusable unless you use the bait junkie jig heads, which hold the plastic on very well, and makes removing the plastic almost impossible without breaking it. Simple solution is just a dab of superglue at the front of the plastic which will hold it on.

Ohh mate it was driving me crazy i just couldn’t get to sit right, is it just the baitjunkie plastic or most of the plastics? Thanks heaps for the tip mate I’ll give that a shot next time I have a crack with

@@cruisinclueless No worries man. The material on the bait junkies is particularly soft so it's hard to rig and slips off easily. Brands like zman, rapala, squidgies bio tough etc are made of a different material that's super stretchy and easy to rig which also stays on the jig head well. With plastics if a fish grabs the tail it will often fall down. Superglue helps with that too. The other brands like the regular squidgies or berkley powerbait are far less stretchy, easier to break and moderately harder to rig up. I still find them easier than the bait junkies though.

@@cruisinclueless No worries mate. Glad I could help. I was in the same position not too long ago. As soon as you catch your first fish on a lure your confidence only goes up from there!
