This is kinda late, but I would've given Lasty a ceremonial makila once he got to the top of the Muro de Aia. Nothing more fitting to reward this show of pain, suffering and strength, than a good Basque makila.
is it bad to admit at times I was laugh out loud at the faces lasty was pulling, bloody hell that was some incredible gurning! I would not have been able to ride up there in 36×25 good on him!

I'm going to start commuting to work on my road bike. There is one stretch with a rather steep incline, but after that it's all down hill. This gave me a little bit of inspiration to tackle that climb! I may not be able to complete the whole thing the first time, but eventually I will overcome it. That feeling of achievement after a climb is what we chase!
After this and his showing on the Koppenburg, Lasty needs to look at the set-up on his bike! 36-25 leaves little in reserve. But well done mate for showing us how to suffer like an Amateur!
My favourite part is 3:29, when Lasty is saying he can't talk because he's so tired, meanwhile a bloke cycles off in the other direction, probably just took the KOM rushing home for dinner.

This climb is hard, but in switzerland we have a climb called "balmberg". Its about 2.8km long and has a medium gradient of 15% and theres a part Of over 1 km with parts of over 25% steepnes. I would love to see gcn do the balmberg...
