We went to the Basque Country to ride some of the climbs that the area is legendary for. But, we hadn't considered the Muro de Aia. 'Muro' means wall, so you know that it's going to be tough.

I thought videos of torture were banned on youtube.

How is it possible yo give this video a thumbs down ?? All I can think is that so dazed by the effort the Thumbs downers pressed the wrong button by mistake.. This has become one of my favourite GCN videos. I just love watching Lasty suffer. He so perfectly demonstrates how I often feel.

The look on Tom's face: priceless. My knees started aching just watching those expressions. That is a tough climb even with 30 or 32t.

That time someone put Ghost Chilli sauce in your chamois cream jar.
I'm going to start commuting to work on my road bike. There is one stretch with a rather steep incline, but after that it's all down hill. This gave me a little bit of inspiration to tackle that climb! I may not be able to complete the whole thing the first time, but eventually I will overcome it. That feeling of achievement after a climb is what we chase!
Thank you Lasty! Sy and Dan make everything look so easy, but you have shown us what us average joes look like climbing.

That is one steep climb! I bet pre ride conversation between presenters was something like:

I like the random Basque people on the sides of the road (at 3:00) shouting "Allez" for a rider just because he's crazy enough to do the climb.

Great effort mate,I climbed Mt Baw Baw in Oz with a max of 20.9%,can't even manage to begin to understand what 25% would be like.
Yes it did cost me a fortune in disinfectant afterwards,my arse was that low to the ground it was scrapping it.
