I still remember seeing Heart do this tune in concert in 1978 at the now-long-gone Albuquerque Civic Auditorium. The other big memory I have of that concert is Roger Fisher throwing his guitar (at eye level, peghead first) at his guitar roadie.
I've been a professional singer for over 40 years and have performed much of the Heart Songbook. I am sorry, to be a Debbie Downer, but the sound engineer did not do Ann, or any of the performers onstage for that matter, justice at all. He/She seems to have forgotten that #1. Ann's voice needs to be above the rest of the band, not buried in the mix. #2. The band was NOT at all balanced with itself. #3. There is more to the band than the snare drum, and lastly... Oh, yeah. There are SIX backup singers, none of whom I could hear. Such a shame for this kind of mediocracy at such a monumentous event as this. That being said, IMHO Ann is still the finest female vocalist of my generation, and Nancy...none can hold a candle to her virtuosity on the guitar, male or female. So glad the they are on the planet at the same time as me!
Why doesn’t Robert Plant ever sing with the Wilson girls? He sang with Sheryl Crow at this show. At least to pay back the girls for the Kennedy Center Honors.... I can’t find one instance where they perform together. 😕
I believe Ann and Nancy were just late addition to the list of performers. 😊 But in the future I am still hoping for Ann Wilson and Robert Plant duet with Nancy Wilson and Jimmy Page on guitars. 😊 #crossingmyfingers

She screamed the entire song. I love Ann but this song is out of her range now. That did not sound good. It started out flat and she resorted to basically shouting it. I hope shes redoing some of the keys for this tour or it's going to be a long night of her screaming and her voice isn't going to make it through the tour and the fans are going to leave with headaches.

Just got done watching Pat Benitar rock it in her 60's. Love Pat, and I don't want to throw any shade, but Ann's on another level.
