      Same for me. I lost job and family for not buying into the nonsense, but with Our Lady through the Rosary, kept a peaceful heart and have been bountifully rewarded for having abandoned myself totally to Divine Providence.

    "Virtues are formed by prayer. Prayer preserves temperance. Prayer suppresses anger. Prayer prevents emotions of pride and envy. Prayer draws into the soul the Holy Spirit, and raises man to Heaven."

    I thing you could also add in some form of fasting or abstaining or a vow of silence. Monetary Wealth can also get in the way of our prays. I thing their is a limit where god will not give us things that will destroy us spiritually which is dependant on our personal character.

      When you pray to God, you need to be specific. Whatever bothers you now or things that make you confused and spiritually exhausted has to be addressed first. May I guess you have to deal with peace in your life initially. When you have peace in your life, other things will start to align, you can think and plan better.

    Great talk! However, I think the title of the video can be misinterpreted and sounds like a magic formula to obtain whatever we want.
    There are things that we can definitely obtain from God if we ask for them in a proper manner, but contrary to what some may think, they only have to do with our salvation and sanctification. :)

      Yes, some people are stubborn in resisting grace; St. Monica had to tearfully pray for decades for her wayward son (who eventually became the great doctor of the Church, St. Augustine of Hippo)
      We must ask for the grace to out-stubborn them in our prayerful diligence.

    • @chicalagata

      During my Rosary, I ask God to lead my children to people, places, and situations in which they CAN be made more aware of Him and His will and how important it is for their salvation to follow the teachings of His Church. I know that coming to the Church is a matter of free will. So praying that is the best I can do. Oh and also I ask to be made a vessel of His so that through my example, they'd hopefully come to the Church. I ask this wholeheartedly and tearfully.

      Have confidence. Let us not limit GOD. Remember the paralytic carried in a stretcher by his friends to JESUS? The Gospel story does not say whether the paralytic man had faith in JESUS or not. It was the faith of the friends that JESUS saw that moved HIM grant healing to the paralytic.
      So may our faith and confident prayers to our LORD JESUS CHRIST bring healing and conversion to those we lift up to HIM. HE desires their salvation far more than we do. TRUST IN THE LORD ALWAYS WITH ALL YOUR HEART...... Blind and full abandonment to HIS LOVE..... This, i believe will please HIM....

    Why does everyone say the Hail Mary incorrectly?? The correct way to say it is...."...blessed is the Fruit of your womb, Jesus" NOT..."blessed is the Fruit of your womb Jesus"...there is a pause after womb otherwise it doesn't make sense.

      It is a question asked by every atheist and as far as i know non have been and there is no where in the bible saying everyone can be healed but not you lot. It is a very deep question and one id like to know the answer too if im to defend Christ and have no answer.
      I know the items at answering but nothing that satisfies.

      @yodinpa 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Pat Castlearchers Worry about your salvation. Pray for your enemies. Do not be afraid! Have faith! There so much still to do. For those who have faith no explanations is necessary. For those who have no faith no explanation is ever good enough.

    I always wonder why spiritual teachers seem to avoid contractions more often than not when speaking publicly. Why "do not" -- "can not" -- ? It is so odd. I always heard that when people are being insincere they avoid contractions. I'm not saying this speaker is insincere, but this trend of avoiding contractions has always struck me as very odd in Catholic circles. If there's a simple reason please share.

    • @MysticDr
      @MysticDr 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      This speaker has used contractions. But as a general practice, I have learned that when speaking about an important topic, one honors the audience and the importance of the topic by tending to speak formally, using whole words. Contractions tend to be more informal.

      MO, there is a book I read that may help you in this situation. It is Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence by St Claude de la Combiere. It is truly a fresh new look at how to perform prayers for petitions. I think you will get a better understanding of how God desires us to come to Him with our requests. Most bookstores have it.
