Farewell to Dirt the Cat on the Nevada Northern Railroad

Fifteen years ago a kitten was born under the rotary snowplow in the shops of the Nevada Northern Railway. The little fellow was rescued by the crews there and grew to become known as Dirt the Cat. King of the Shops.
The Nevada Northern is a fantastic place equally distant from Salt Lake City, Reno Nevada, and Las Vegas. While the trains and locomotives usually get all the attention, over the last ten years a cat has routinely stolen the show. Dirt the Cat.
Sadly Dirt passed away and crossed the Rainbow Bridge a few days ago. But his legend lives on. Over the past few years, Dirt has become an internet sensation. And with his passing in 24 hours, his pages were visited 610.000 times with 18,500 likes and 3,100 comments, and 7,800 shares. In 24 hours...
