Just buy a new subframe. And airbox..... ALWAYS check for brand new parts before buying old ones feom ebay. Most things can still be bought brand new for these bikes. But people are still expecting dumb guys to buy used parts for 2-3× times the prices of a brand new part.... and while your at it, buy a new wire harness for that bike. They are around 50$ for a brand new one. And it will save you hours of headache in the future. And with you needing a new airbox, subframe and plastics. You should have just got the "restyle kit" making it look(and feel) like a 2011 model. Amazing bikes these old GG. You are gonna get hours of joy from that thing.
@@supertedogpriken a restyle kit would be sweet! I’ll have to look into that, I mostly wanted to find a back fender for it because it’s cold in western PA this time of year and no rear fender causes me to get soaked every time I ride. I was unable to find just a fender unfortunately, so when I found a whole set of plastics for $70 I had to jump on it. However, I do plan to restore the bike to its former glory after I get something else to ride so this one can sit under the knife for a while. Thank you for the information! Hopefully in the future I’ll be able to get a video out doing the restyle kit on the bike!
