- Can you believe it's been almost four months since we last looked at an Elder Scrolls book? Hard to believe, but it's true! To rectify that, today's video is a soft-spoken reading from The Skyrim Library, Volume 1: The Histories. Relax as I quietly regale you with wondrous myths and stories from Skyrim and the Elder Scrolls universe!
ASMR triggers include ear-to-ear soft speaking, page turning, and a little bit of tapping.
I strongly recommend listening to this video with headphones for the best experience!
---- What's ASMR, and why am I speaking quietly? ----
I speak softly in my videos because they're intended to trigger a sensation called ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). ASMR is a specific feeling that some people experience when they hear certain quiet sounds, like whispering or tapping, or see certain visuals, like deliberate hand motions. It's often described as a pleasant tingling in the head and neck, accompanied by a sense of calmness and mild euphoria. Many people watch ASMR videos to help them relax or fall asleep. Pretty much! Very heavily inspired by Edoras, but it's cool so I don't mind.
I find the connection between rohan and horses interesting. Geographically in the lore it makes sense but the celtic/nordic influences dont as from my limited knowledge on the subject those cultures werent known for calvary or anything like that.

they should get peter jackson to make an elders scrolls movie.. maybe about Tiber Septim? I adore all the lord of the rings books and movies so i know their style is a little bit similar... that'd be so amazing
John Moon That assassins creed one recently wasn't awful, I didn't have high hopes because all other video game movies are terrible. I think uncharted would make a good movie, it's pretty much one anyway. Skyrim might not work though, because it's a game where you can roam freely, and a movie takes that away from you
John Moon the reason they suck is that they never follow the story of the games film directors always feel that they should make there own work

Courtney Oswald Apparently it's a very love it or hate it game. As someone who couldn't really get into the other games (not that they're bad by any means, just not my style), I rather enjoy eso. Mmorpgs are my style and even though some argue that it's gone downhill, I still think it's pretty fun. No final Fantasy though haha.
I used to play, but haven't for quite some time. One of these days, maybe I'll go back it :)

IIRC The dragon break is a daggerfall thing as is the numidium. You can end up giving the numidium to different people and because bethesda doesn't like a canon ending they sorta...all happened. At the same Time. The dragon break is referencing how Akatosh Himself break as the player gave the numidium to like 5 different people at the same time. Apparently after an unknown timeframe all the timelines collapsed in on themselves and the end result of each happened.
This could also be called "Bad writing" but :p

I thought that the dragon break was about alternate timelines somehow intertwining... It was used to explain how every ending of Daggerfall is canon, I don't remember much else about it.
Could be...I thought they called that the Warp in the West though? My Daggerfall lore is a bit fuzzy.

This was great, does there exist, a complete gathering of all the Skyrim texts in or multiple books? I'm going to look into these 3 books, but what i'm truly after the complete shabang.
There was a fan project to edit them all and put them into a PDF, and I think you can still find that on the interwebs. If you want hardbound published official volumes though, these are them, and I don't think they're comprehensive.

I like the asmr reading of lore books, which is why I would like to ask if you are a fan of the Warhammer Fantasy/40K fandoms? The fluff and flavor text of the Warhammer series runs deeps. Dragon age series as well. Much respect and appreciation for this Vid.

Already did that quest, I stopped making new characters. That's real agony, going through the tutorial over and over again.
+STORMAGEDDON 711 Pc or Console gamer? If you're on Pc I'd recommend the Alternate Start mod, where you can choose how you want to begin your game, as a traveller, a servant of a necromancer, a mercenary, pretty much everything. Gets rid of the whole tutorial thing ^^
Both, I have that mod, the problem I that I can't have 7 different characters like in ESO or Fallout 4. Someone make a mod that does that.
