If you're used to 5 G's in a F1 car I'm sure a little drifting in a road car isn't all that exhilarating haha.
He's not taking a turn , look at the landscape, thats more than a turn
Just want to point out something subtle that's happening and it shows how amazingly trained F1 pilot are.. notice how much Corden is bouncing around in the car with all the G force while Lewis is barely moving. That's his core strength showing.
Well it helps if you're holding the steering wheel too.

F1 drivers can probably handle more G forces with their neck than most people can with their core lol

F1 drivers train their necks heavily so they can keep their heads in place while braking at 6 Gs before a corner. most people can't even stop themselves from swaying around when a bus comes to a stop

The top f1 drivers are so elite at what they do.most ppl woudnt be able to even comprehend.its kinda hard to explain but what they do is so much more then just driving they got it nailed down every turn to a science.its like breathing for them they could do it in there sleep there so trained and gifted at it

amazing the level of control f1 drivers have, he looks so throwing that thing around. well, after an f1 car everything else should be easy lol
Actually, F1 cars are pretty easy to drive in terms of sheer car control. Niki Lauda said 30 years ago, "take a trained monkey, place him into the cockpit and he is able to drive the car." Modern f1 cars are easier to drive than in the 1980s because they have more downforce and mechanical grip but also have a similar amount of horsepower. Obviously, modern F1 cars require more technical knowledge but that doesn't matter in this scenario. F1 drivers are extremely talented but in a different way compared to, say, a 24 hr endurance racer. I would bet professional drifters have more control than Lewis Hamilton or any F1 driver.

I love it. I think people misunderestimate how far they can push a car. Mr. Corden, like most people, expect a car to fail, or explode, or start flipping over when pushed. It's nice to see Mercedes show how far a car can be pushed by an expert. Mr. Corden represents The Everyman and his reactions, I believe, are typical of a person who has never raced a vehicle. It's faster than you think and scarier than you think it will be. The car is throwing your body around like a doll, which is unexpected. It's fun though, when you are driving.

i would love to see f1 drivers in cars like this, like before the race and qualifying they all get into these type of cars and race against each other and drift and push it to the limits, it's more realistic. show's how good they really are.

Block is just a show pony for little boys. He failed at WRC, as he had only 85% of the speed of the other drivers and the different teams couldn't keep supplying enough cars after he stacked them. There's no editing in WRC.
