Yeah I overheard it aswell and then just recognized it. But I also think the Tropic Birds part sounds kind of weird here. Maybe because he's playing the melody on the guitar here instead of humming like on the album?
@@suptnt2004 I had to think long and hard about the Tropic Birds section, but i knew i had heard it before. It defintely sounds weird since it's not acapella, but it is unmistakably the same progression heard at about 23 seconds onwards in the intro, just in another key.
@@ikigaiarchives actually, the intro of tropic birds it's from Akogareno Seychelles Shotou. Here: In 01:30 you can hear that part in tropic birds is originally from th-cam.com/video/ija3Wfhd5aQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Zr-04va4z4FBscrL And here, from 00:39 you can hear that same part now sung in acapella in tropic birds: th-cam.com/video/DnmHG3mJv1o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aysm0Y98kgjMIlN6 It is a great intertextuality between the musics

medley. wish there was more of it!
6:08 it's not Tropic Birds, it is actually Tokyo Reggie
6:40 is a small part of the first Summer Breeze solo
