KAORU & Charlie - Live At Hitachi Lo-D Plaza (1980/05/31)
KAORU (aka Kaoru Uemura) is an artist who debuted her one and only album 'Just My Feeeling' in 1979 on CBS Sony Records. This show is credited as just 'KAORU' in the Lo-D Plaza schedule, but the announcer makes a point to also name the backing band, that seem to go by 'Charlie'. This performance features mostly songs from Kaoru's debut album as well as some other unreleased tracks. Interesting, all arrangements on the album were done by Yoshihiro 'Narucho' Naruse of Casiopea fame, and one song (Comin' Together) was composed by Issei Noro! So, there seems to be some quantifiable Casiopea relation here lol.

About Lo-D Plaza:
Hitachi Lo-D Plaza was an audio showroom located in the Ginza district of Tokyo, that also served as an active Live Spot for musicians and fans, operating from the mid 70s until May of 1982. The showroom housed a live stage where 10 fans were selected at random via a lottery system to record the show at their own 16 track mixing desk, where they were then able to take home their own personal live soundboard recording, sealed with a JASRAC sticker. This cassette tape is a master recording from the mixing desk.

Absolutely incredible concept indeed! It's any live audio fan's greatest dream to not only be able to record and MIX a show, but on an extremely high quality soundboard to boot

Unfortunately Takanaka never made an appearance at Lo-D Plaza, but T-Square has had several appearances in 1979 and 1980. I think a recording of a 1980 stage exists somewhere but unfortunately i don't have any in my collection!
