Great to see people looking after their stuff in this way. I've got the same Kayak & just about to totally waterproof the fabric. Of course its semi waterproof from new but that's not enough in my opinion.
Thing is if you don’t look after it overtime it will deteriorate. Also if you’re willing to use your hard earned cash to buy it … look after it :) no better feeling than looking after your equipment. What a great idea with water proofing the fabric! Also wax the paddle so water drips off quicker preventing it travelling down the paddle… il be buying some fabric protector now 😆
☝That. If you do not take the bladders out and clean inside the chambers as well as take the floor bladder out and clean the inside of that cover you are in for a world of slimy pain 🤢
Took mine out on the ocean to do some fishing earlier, water was so clear I could see everything under me Thornback rays, flounder, Bass, Mullett, Mackerel etc Only ended up catching a little Smelt though, the mackerel didn't care for my feathers but a shoal of about 40 smelt followed them right up to my kayak Came here to make sure I didnt miss anything when cleaning the Kayak
Once deflated and rolled up as shown , lift the folded canoe onto its end then invert the carry bag and slip it over the top exposed end and pull the top of the bag towards the ground , then simply just roll it over onto the unzipped side and stand it up on the other end ( top of the carry bag now on top , then with the bottom on the ground and you can easy slip the top of the carry bag over the top and zip it up . ( took me a while to work out an easy way for someone in the family who said they were not strong enough to do it by lifting , but everyone has to take their turn , so no excuses , this way IS easy no strength needed 😂)
Hello, I want to buy this kayak in the spring and adapt it for fishing. First of all, I will have to glue the rubber grips to the fall and to the anchor, what kind of glue would be suitable? Then make a console for a rod holder and sonar and some better seat with a backrest. Otherwise, I have the original version of the kayak made in Croatia and it is very nice. I like that it is wide and stable.
I've found that the bladder enclosures take far longer to dry out on the inside, even if it feels dry on the outside. It's best to remove the bladders and ensure the kayak is dry inside and out if you're going to pack it away after a holiday etc. It's not that difficult. It's all quite well designed. I had it sprawled out in my house for 2 days because I didn't remove them. It would still have taken a day I reckon. The only caveat to this is I've only had wet autumn days to work with and not had it out in summer yet, so I don't know how well it dries on a warm sunny day.
Totally agree, this was just a quick video showing how to clean and what to look out for along with packing it away… i e only used it really when it’s been warm 😆 I always leave it in my conservatory for 3 days to dry… but you’re right it needs to dry a lot longer than you think 💭 happy kayaking 😅
I found that there is a problem with this boat, that is, the black PVC rubber sole and the needle and thread seam of the cloth are not waterproof, they will enter the water, can you unzip the zipper, take out the airbag and test it?, this may be why the boat always cause of a lot of water....
If you’re having issues with this mate speak to decathalon… however have you tried some water resistant spray on the material? (The stuff you Reseal tents with?)

Are you still having luck keeping away the mold and smell using this method? We just dried ours for the first time and it was burdensome unzipping and removing the bladders and difficult to get them in correct position again afterwards. I would like to do less work if possible. Thank you.
This was a quick video, so the whole process takes longer… the drying method should be longer, I don’t undo the chambers. I leave it up in a dry room for a few days letting the chambers down and pumping them back up again over the days whilst it’s drying … reaching in wiping away excess water each time pal…

Noticed you didn't take the bladders out to dry, I find water gets into both sides and bottom and needs fully drying before putting away.

Much better to totally waterproof the fabric when totally dry, then the maintenance of it is much easier from then on.
