Dave, this is so full circle for me. You literally taught me how to play the first songs I ever wanted to learn on guitar. Thank you so much for your kind words and this amazing tutorial !!
It’s my pleasure Noah! Im sure it won’t be the last time your songs will be on this channel. Have a great Xmas and new years! Can’t wait for the new tunes 🎶🎵
Thanks for watching everyone! Please note that the rhythmic direction for the C chord in the verse TAB is mistakenly marked the wrong way around. So just follow what I’m playing/the strumming pattern “UDU” instead of the TAB direction. Thanks :)
Sounds like a fun song to learn. I think I'll give it a shot later after listening to the original enough to memorize the lyrics. Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
I’ve only just discovered your tutorials and they’re so good!!! I’m a beginner and it’s giving me so much confidence and joy in learning. Appreciate all the effort you put in… the annotations must be so much work! ❤
Very cool little tune, very well taught. 1.63M Subscribers!? Never even heard of you until today and I am always watching guitar and music stuff. Weird. Well, you got another subscriber! Thanks!
I would love to know your take on this song without a plectrum I personally never use one mainly bc Im lazy and dont wanna learn it. But would love to hear your opinion on that since you basically always have one. Ive been learning from you for years now and cant express what an awesome thing free lessons like this one are. already hooked on this riff and noahs music just slaps in general. never would have found it without you. keep up the good work🔥🔥
I was debating last year if I should get the OMJM or the OM-28 modern deluxe, I ended up getting the modern deluxe but would love to see a review on the omjm because I’ve played it and it’s an amazing guitar and I love ur reviews 😉
Okay so recently someone released a new song called “When It’s Quiet It Gets Loud”the artists name is James Clark the song I know for sure is on Apple Music and the background guitar sounds really good and I’d like to know if you can teach it.
Hey Dave what sort of technique does this fall under mate I’m looking to add some country to my set list for after Xmas time but I’m trying to pick songs based on working on technique development too 🙌
@ thanks mate I’m just learning here without you right now but plans to work on under the bridge, behind blues eyes and this one would be perfect to build the selective strumming parts and flat pick! Plans to hit all the John Mayer ones after then write my own tunes once I’ve got them as I feel the skills will be good enough to do that 🙌
@@GuitarZero2Hero thanks dave :)i find it so amazing that you still try to answer as many questions as possible, even on your older videos and with your reach. That’s one of the many reasons why you are one of tge best and kindest teachers here on TH-cam. Thank you so much for doing what you do, you are so much appreciated ❤
Try using guitar in classical position neck high, I moved guitar to left leg for my right hand guitar. You will get it, it’s a matter of practice and trying different approaches to your technique. I am 63 and started at 58. Only recently has the bigger stretches been attainable. All the best, practice lots. Consistency has been my biggest “technique” learning
The other suggestions here are great! My first response would be to ignore the 6th string too. Strumming from the 5th string and having the 6th muted is near enough

Beautiful music mate, keep rockin

Hey Dave what sort of technique does this fall under mate I’m looking to add some country to my set list for after Xmas time but I’m trying to pick songs based on working on technique development too 🙌
Hmm I’d probably categorize this as a flat picked riff with hammer ons/pull offs. Used in a lot of folk/country! Good luck
@ thanks mate I’m just learning here without you right now but plans to work on under the bridge, behind blues eyes and this one would be perfect to build the selective strumming parts and flat pick! Plans to hit all the John Mayer ones after then write my own tunes once I’ve got them as I feel the skills will be good enough to do that 🙌
Hope you’re well but you genuinely have changed my life with your channel I’m very appreciative of your work 🙌

Could you play hallelujah by Leanerd Cohan?
"I'll have to say I love you in a song" by Jim Croce, please sir.
Erm I actually have heard it ☝️🤓
When i put on the capo all sounds a little out of tune, should i lower the pressure of the capo if possible or tune then again with the capo on
Tune after you’re put the capo on :)
@@GuitarZero2Hero thanks dave :)i find it so amazing that you still try to answer as many questions as possible, even on your older videos and with your reach. @@michizlab156 You're very welcome :)
I think the arrows are reversed on the C chord in the verse, because you're playing UDU and the tab says DUD
Yes you’re absolutely right 😆😆 damn! Not much I can do now. Thanks for point that out
I have a nylon guitar and my thumb can't reach the sixth string in fsus2 shape, what should I do?
You could always just not play the sixth string. The F won’t sound as full without the bass note but you’ll still play like 90% of the chord.
Try using guitar in classical position neck high, I moved guitar to left leg for my right hand guitar.
You will get it, it’s a matter of practice and trying different approaches to your technique. I am 63 and started at 58. Only recently has the bigger stretches been attainable.

Do don't cry gun n roses
❤
Somehow if i put my capo on the 5th on standard tuning it sound not the same😢
reminds me of Towers by Bon Iver
Plz do a guide on symphony by goo goo dolls
Please do Morgan Wallen songs.
I can’t wrap my thumb around to reach the low E string 😢
