Finally found an Asics pro! I have a pair of the yellow Asics Kill Bill shoes but my insoles don't have the splatter. I'm trying to find out why. Watching this video on September 1st 2022 and the current climate for sneakers such as Asics, Diadora, Saucony, etc is dire. Almost nobody cares about these shoe brands right now. Even the best models like Asics Gel Lyte 3, Diadora N.9000 & Saucony Shadow 6000 have absolutely no "hype".
...and it's a shame. I don't say it's a shame due to anything relating to money either. I think it's a shame because a whole lot of people are cheating themselves out of some extremely comfortable, well made shoes. These brands routinely put out plain old, regular shoes that have nicer materials than a lot of brands use even when they're doing a collaborative project.
Right now, if you're a size 13.....you can own a DS pair of the Solefly x Asics Gel Lyte III "Night Haven" for the same price as some new general release Nike SB Dunk lows. If you can find a pair. They're obviously more scarce than ever (the GL3 Night Haven shoe). They just don't have any real value anymore.
A shoe from Art Basil 2014 is worth the same amount of money as a recent general release Dunk SB. Think about that. One shoe retailed for $225 way back in 2014 and was super limited. The other shoe is a mass produced Nike model that retails for $100-$125 (the Dunk SB recently saw a small price hike of like $10-$15).
...but anyways, I say all that because it is ridiculous. However, it also means I've been able to stack up a whole bunch of super nice shoes. Sure, they have very little monetary value at the moment, but I'm cool w/ that. I like the more luxe materials & the craftsmanship of these unwanted sneakers. I genuinely do. I'll take a well made pair of N.9000s over a pair of plastic Air Jordan 1 lows every day & 3 or 4 times on Sundays.
I never thought I'd be able to get a deadstock pair of Gel Lyte III Night Havens, AT ALL....but I got 'em 8 years after they initially released. For $125 over retail. BONKERS!!!

Davar Ansari depends on a few things if you've already got a few collaborative pairs from adidas def look into GR asics prior to going for a coveted release as you know the fits can be somewhat different as per materials. Make sure you like the fit of the shoe over all before dropping g that kinda bread
yea maybe ill go try on a pair.... ive got so many pairs tho if its not something spectacular it will likely collect dust and never get worn. those are 2 fire color ways unlike anything in my collection. for those saying y not cop 5 gr's bc id rather have 1 dope, fire shoe than 5. but yea ill def try them on first in store to make sure i can go back to non prime knit shoes.
