Think you might've actually stood a chance for 40k on 03 during this specific run if you let the first Chelsea live. Since your first Che kill was staggered, Chelsea1 missed the first legacy stack, and would not have gone berserk if you didn't finish her, allowing you to farm damage on the 2nd Chelsea with only 1 legacy stack, while the first Chelsea gets safely healed up (unless they changed RotD mechanics, healing will not take away the points you already earned from almost killing her). But, sadly, because of Yanyan bounce rng, timing another such perfect 1st Che kill is impossible to reproduce on purpose I think. =( Attempting to fight Chelsea2 + Bai2 with 2 legacy stacks each like this just looks like a death sentence...I can't believe they actually managed to kill a level 90 9999 99 with Rift Palace. ☠
Oh, now that I think about it, it seems like a possibility. After uploading this video, I watched other videos and saw that once HP has been reduced, the score is maintained even if it is restored. However, I had already uploaded the video, so even though I figured out the hint, I didn't think anything of it. If successful, I will upload the video again. thank you!
The score has definitely improved, but it's still not enough to get 40,000. It's too evil to subtract 1,000 points from each score. I think it went 98% as I thought and it was almost a perfect play, but it still failed. It's really hard, so I need to get some rest now.
