Exactly this same experience but in Switzerland…. We also end up buying mostly online and from Asian and Turkish shops and then go to them Afro hair shops only when there is no other options. 😅
dear ogenna, first of all i appreciate all the effort you put in your videos. i like them very much and i love to watch them. i wanted to ask you what microphone you use.
Yea i always prefer the one at Altona. Also, the Turkish warehouses at Rotenburgsort are my go to. I cannot come and add headache to the money i am spending.
This also happens in the UK. In London the same thing happens with Afro shop and Afro Caribbean shops. I was born in London and i am afro Caribbean. You cannot buy from those shop because they are expensive. Plus if you are not a friend ir relative of tge person serving you customer service is crap. So the people who benefit from our money are the South Asian shops who sometimes give a better service. Therefore black owned shop lose out. Not say that there are afro/afro Caribbean shops that are good and r Asian shops that are racist toward black customers.
It could be the access to buying in bulk. I would imagine the more the store can buy in wholesale the cheaper it is so they can pass down the cheap prices to customers. Most Afro shops don’t have access to that. Everything else I agree.
Well , my own peoblme with them is that the price is not always thesame ... If you go there in the morning , and your friend go there in the evening (to buy thesame thing) ... you'll end up buying at different prices. It's arrant nonsense

The trick is to identify an Asian or Arab shop that sells the same thing.

Exactly
You’ve said it all. The one that annoys me most is the customer service.
It's such a sad thing

Seems like this is the same thing everywhere. It's Trulli ridiculous how we have to jump through hoops to spend our own money.
