Hey josh, I’m usually taking a 3000 series reel and a med action rod, and a 5000 series reel and med heavy rod with me when ever I’m out ,plus my 8 wt fly rod , I’m mostly shore fishing till my project skiff gets finished, it kinda covers all the bases , it’s always fun trying to get bigger fish in on lighter tackle it makes it more of a challenge, having the right equipment depends on what your going after , the targeted species needs the right stuff y’all ain’t gonna use a noodle rod for giant grouper or a huge shark , a 3500 to 4000 series would work for a variety a fish , I guess it’s just a matter of choice and finding a combo that the individual feels comfortable using . Haven’t seen a posting from Chris for awhile ? 🤔
This is awesome content. I love that you can catch grouper with a spinning reel. It really makes it easier, for girl like me! ;)
You have caught your fair share for sure.
Great content Josh! Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great choices for sure!
Glad you like them!
