Turrets seem like a strange addition to the game since there isn't any real base defense, not that I know of. Or maybe it's just for multiplayer? It's a pretty cool thing to craft though, so i'm not complaining. 1:28 Lol, that's hilarious
Brother IDK if anyone's told you but you can turn off damage to yourself in settings so you don't die non-stop if you did this in a single player game. Very good info!
I had a loot drop fall near my base. Rocket turret on the roof took out all the puppets. When I ran over to grab the loot, it shot me, (I wasn't sure the first time what happened) spawned in base and tried again and this time saw it shoot me. Went up on the roof to turn it off...and fuck me if it didn't shoot me again!!! Had to sector spawn, and of course it spawned me about as far away as was possible to get in sector. Got back in time to see the loot drop explode and flatten most of my base...turret included. I wont be building any more turrets. (and just an fyi, loot drops are not random, they're in certain spots. If one drops by your base once, at some point it will again, on the exact same spot (I marked the spot with a blueprint to check) so if one damages your base, don't rebuild, move somewhere else. Oh and the BOOM doesn't care if your base is concrete either)
@moored1979 yeah the sound is a real bother for me mostly. No distancing on sound, water sounds the same near or far, no suicide bomber sounds or footsteps
So if you can manage the server settings you can have up to 5 turrets. FUEDAL did it in a video. Love the content though, no end of things that need testing.
It's very scary how many errors and also a lot of fine things still don't work properly. Standard things still don't work properly. Zombies still walk through walls and much more. So I don't know if the developers will really manage to make SCUM a survival game again. This Ghost Recon wannabe PVP kind of gets on my nerves and I really like playing PVP but I don't understand why they're trying so hard to turn SCUM, which is actually a survival game, into a military shooter. This is about survival and PVP is just a side activity.
@Zinedamzy I think since gamespires was bought by it's parent company, they want a certain direction and won't fund the game until otherwise. I could be wrong, bit it's like when EA take a game company and shits the bed they lay in because $$$

There's some, like barbed wire fences, traps like Mines, and some others, I've been wanting a game with turrets, this sits well with me

I noticed you can turn off shooting players as an option, but it's poor aim will likely kill you as well, needs a rework
typical SCUM updates: fix teleporting- Nah, fix sound (namely cant hear anything over 250m away)- Nah, fix general pvp elements- Nah ... but hey, heres some skins/vehicles/turrets

you can have more, not sure of limit but we have it at 6. easy to test in single player.
