hi! thank you for the tutorial, it really helps me a lot because i haven't got any clue about how to make one. but one thing i'm confused about, how can you make your wood clean again after you do the pink inking part to make a green part? did you clean it? if so, how?

Thanks for watching! I used water soluble ink so I rinsed it off with water. Also I was using linoleum mounted to wood, so when I was rinsing I just made sure to keep too much water from getting on the wood as not to warp it.
If you're using oil-based ink you would use mineral spirits. Some people coat their wood blocks with a layer of polyurethane after carving them, before printing with them so that the ink wipes off easier. I've used mineral spirits to remove oil-based ink from a block not coated with polyurethane before too and my block was fine. Hopes this helps and doesn't further confuse things, haha!

I'm really interested in the video, but the ad is covering much of the tutorial and It won't go away.

Geez! Save a LOT of time. Tape the block in order 'all at once'. Graphite, original design, tracing paper. NOW trace. Remove all taped items. Results? Trace original only ONCE.

Ah. I take it back. I had not noticed that you flipped it over because of the lettering. I am a bit confused as to why you wanted a green flower. Oh well. I just realized that my arthritic hands will not allow use of the carving tools.

Turn off the music please. Way too loud and distracting.
