- Authentic Kerala Dishes with my personal Touch 😍
Ingredients
Green Gram - 1 cup
Turmeric Powder -1/4tsp
Chilli Powder -1/2tsp
Garlic -2
Green Chilli -2
Salt-
Coconut Oil -1tbsp
Water -2 1/2 cups
Coconut - 4tbsp
Cumin seeds -1/2tsp
Green Chilli -1
Curryleaves -2
Coconut oil -2tbsp
Red Chilli -3
Mustard Seeds -1/2tsp
Curryleaves -
Cheriya Ulli - 5
Garlic -2
Chilli -1
Red Chilli Powder -1/4tsp ( opt)
Sugar -1 pinch
Coconut oil -1tbsp
Curryleaves -
Method
Wash the green gram. If possible soak the green gram for some times else the cooking time would increase. Add the green gram to a cooker also add chilli powder and turmeric powder. Add some garlic (optional). Add green chilly and some coconut oil. Add salt and water .Keep it for one or two whistle according to your cooker and stove.
Add cumin seeds , curry leavesand green chilly to 4 tbsp grated coconut(bring it to room temperature always) .Grind this together.After 3 whistles the green gram has been cooked well . Add hot water if necessary. Add the ground coconut mix to the cooker.On medium flame, heat the dish.allow to boil till the raw smell of the coconut paste goes ..
Now for the seasoning take a pan add coconut oil and let it get heated up. Add the mustard seeds and whole red chilly .Add the curry leaves and then add some chopped shallots and few garlic (optional). Saute this till the shallots becomes golden in colour .check for the spice level. Add a pinch of chilly powder. Now add the green gram to this seasoning. Check for the salt. Add pinch of sugar(optional).Add some coconut oil and some curry leaves. Close the kadai ..Remove from the heat and leave it to rest for 5 mins. Stir well after 5 mins. Serve with hot Puttu or rice.

ഞങ്ങൾക്കും ഇന്ന് പുട്ടും തേങ്ങ ചേർക്കാത്ത ചെറുപയർ കറിയും ആയിരുന്നു. തേങ്ങ ചേർത്ത് ഇതുവരെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിട്ടില്ല്യ. Will try this recipe soon. ആദ്യമായി ആണ് comment ഇടുന്നത്.
