This ship was a gift from The Federated Malay States to HM The King of England. At the time it was one of the mightiest ships in the fleet. The bell from the ship is still on display at The VI in Malaysia and the other in London. Unfortunately most Malaysians don’t know this bit of history that Malaya at its peak was one of the richest colonies under the crown. A nation with a rich history and amazing facts that is currently diluted with modern day politics skewing history. All the history, relationship, perception and understanding paved the way to Malaya’s own independence. Only thing we know these days is social media facts. Sadly.

My grandad served aboard the malaya at the battle of jutland he survived the battle but was injured.
He was the best grandad anyone could have.
