    I stopped caring about the table as soon as I saw that mag drill. Where has that been all my life?!?! It’s amazing! I need one, no two, right now!!!!

      Glad it helped! Wasn't too long to record...but the recording process definitely makes the actual build take longer

    A good idea for someone that is trying to build this is make that lever somehow extend past the table for clearance.

      That was why I notched the back of the mount...

      Extend the shaft so the handle is way off to the right, clear of the table.
      A couple miter gears would put it at the front.
      An old weed eater spring drive can put it pretty much anywhere you want.
      Add a gear motor and make it powered.

    wow, that eastwood mini metal saw is amazing. I've been using a diablo carbide blade in my Ridgid circular saw and this looks WAY better

      I was super impressed the first time I saw someone use one, and I waited to get one until it went on sale....I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the full price on one....it is SO worth the full price Eastwood has them at

    I am in need of doing the same to my table top drill press. With the handle for the height adjustment, I plan on putting an extention pipe on the input shaft of the handle to clear the table.

      I thought of that, but I wanted to keep everything as compact as I could due to my space

    Did you consider adding an extension to the d.p. crank so that the handle clears the table?

      The handle that raises/lowers the table? I notched the back of the table to make clearance

    Nice work I have the same press and was just in my shop thinking of how I can improve mine. Also idk if that handle is a pain to use with that amount of clearance but you could also extend the handle. Or just put a drill on it 😂

      Thanks! Honestly, I thought the handle might be an issue, but it's really not...surprisingly.

    Why didn't You make an adapter for the table that moves the handle away from the table?

    • @MoonBuiltGarage
      @MoonBuiltGarage  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No need to...notching the back of the table gave enough clearance for the handle
