- Hello and welcome back to Train Sim World 2!
Today we're going to be taking a first looks video at the recently released "West Cornwall Local" addon for Train Sim World 2! This route features Penzance to St Ives and St Austell, along with a Class 150/2 DMU.
I was really excited for this route, it's the first "Sprinter" DMU we've seen released for Train Sim World 2, and with such a stunning coastal route I was really looking forward to seeing what they could do with it. Armstrong Powerhouse sounds included, what could go wrong?! Well... We shall see!

The best laugh I had was when Jasper from Rivet said there was no documentation available to fully model the interior of the 150 (Yes he said that) and I went straight to ebay and found something lol. Rivet are getting worse every release I have said that publicly on a couple of the Livestreams. This was held back and still its far from complete, they wanted to show the fully working (without water spray) train wash. I loved running the Class 43 HST in GWR Green from GW Express from Penzance to St Austell thanks to the Scenario Planner and Off the Rails mode. And being their Arosa line is still awaiting updates and fixes be prepared to wait quite a while for fixes to this Young Joe x
Oh and the Cornish Mainlines from JT and BHBP make this rendition of St Ives and the surrounding area more like a Kuju Disneyland x
Everytime I used to ride a CENTRO Class 150, they always used to smell of sewage because the toilets always flooded.... Fun on hot summer days. 😂
Amazing video - totally agree with the utter shambles that Rivet have done with the 150/2. Just awful.

Recently popped down to Hayle (from Devon, sorry I know how it feels Cornwall) for a little holiday. We always try to fit in something train related because my 3yo loves the things. Did the St Ives branch line and it was flipping lovely even if the little one was desperate for the train to crash into the buffers at either end. St Erth station is flipping adorable with the old style signals and stuff and he loved that too!
Yeh the river Hayle estuary is the salt marshes opposite lelant. And it is suppose to be golf course. St Ives town is completely missing.

The problem with this 150 is the way the revs drop low when in notch also in higher notches the absence of the high revs it’s frustrating as such a big deal was made of this been the first sprinter in tsw2

Thanks for review Joe was looking at getting it as its on sale atm . It's between this and Cathcart. Think Cathcart appears the better dlc
Incorrect cab set up, 150207 has a desk like that but the others I have worked have different desks, 150207 did come from northern so that says a lot
Not defending Rivet but they couldn't use the HST from GWE as it has a completely different cab and MTU engines weren't around in the time period they chose. But I won't purchase this DLC until the issues you've pointed out with the 150 are fixed. Not holding my breath. And thanks for the review, spot on.
Should have chosen a different time period then shouldn’t they? Nobody was forcing them to set it in the 90s.
@@thetrainspotter7 perhaps they couldn't get the licensing from GWR? They should stick to being partners with DtG helping out, they did a sterling job on Cathcart circle.

I don’t drive trains nor am I a guard. I don’t know a great deal about trains but even I know a 150 has a guard! I go on them several times a week with Northern. How can they get that so wrong!
Might as well have put a third rail shoe and pantograph on it as well if they were just going to be stupid!

Also cornwalish people just talk as slow as they can, its anoying but -after the 25mins of tutourial- you can mute it i guess

2 on controler (PS 4) [its actually preaty good at handling the game]
and iddve pressed {arrow right} wich is the remote door operating button
3 im sure the TSW department of Dovetail made the 313 and other trains and i think they try to make it as real as possible

I wish Dovetail would allow other devs able to make add-ons so we could get teams like Armstrong producing some decent rolling-stock for the game - need some decent stock to elevate it to being a sim. Rivet frustrate me with their attitude on the streams of, well we've done what we're doing and we won't be reviewing the sounds or making improvements after release as we're a small team. They might as well add on the end that they couldn't be bothered making it properly before release so what makes people think they'll be interested in bringing it up to a decent level post release.

The sounds and physics of the 150 are terrible, I have not and will it buy this until things a sorted out. And it's a shame because I was really looking for to driving the 150. After all, it's a train I'm kinda familiar with being from Manchester.
I live in Cornwall and yeah i'll be honest, it doesn't look great.
