Really appreciate the very complete & specific details you provided at the start and throughout. This is a fun and quick project and as noted, a 1 skein gorgeous hat (unless you use the smaller roll, then you need 2).
Thank you for sharing a very cute pattern. Is there a way to maybe add a scarf to this? I’m going to Norway in the winter and something like this with a scarf would be fabulous.
For child size about (finished rectangle should measure approximately 17 inches long by 8 inches deep) for adult (finished rectangle should measure approximately 19 -20 inches long by 10 inches deep)
Sorry, no, I pretty much did it the same way that I did the rose. Just use the yarn end (similar to how I did the rose), and attach all the way around.the heart. The trick is not to pull the yarn to tight, so it doesn't pucker in places.
It's recommended on some items, especially garments. My hat patterns don't usually require it. I have a few home decor items that look better when blocked.
I want to learn this hat. Is that hat for kids or for adults. It looks small. It’s a nice hat for my grand baby girl. Have to watch few more times and then I will crochet alongside with you. I’m a visual learner and beginner. I’m also slow, lol . Thank you 🙏 😊
Huge challenge for me. 45 years of crochet and I have never worked with hook larger than 8mm. I crochet tightly. I'm struggling to loosen up and use the larger hook, it just feels unnatural to me. Great pattern though. This is my challenge. So glad I watched video because I was struggling to place in the back bump instead of back loop. Much easier with this huge hook, lol.
Thank you and I know exactly what you mean. I use large hooks so often, that it's tough for me to use the smaller one. The more practice the more you'll get used to it. I hope yours turns out nice!
I just finished my hat what a cool pattern like how it keeps my ears warm
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, I bet it looks amazing! Thank you!

The pixie hat is cute, the rose - eh.
Thank you, feel free to just leave the rose off, it's more for kids.
Cute hat ❤
Thanks so much!

Thank you, and yes, you could probably create a scarf and just attach it around the bottom of the hat.
This is absolutely adorable!! 🥰 Thank you for sharing such a charming bonnet pattern!
Now to see if I can find Thick & Quick anywhere!! 💕
You’re welcome! It's available at most craft stores and even Walmart!
What should the flat piece measurement be before sewing the seam together

any instructions sewing on the heart?

Do you crochet through the back loop on all the stitches on every row?
No, only on the foundation row.
Do you block your garments? I usually knit and block my garments but am new to crochet so not sure if it's recommended.
It's recommended on some items, especially garments. My hat patterns don't usually require it. I have a few home decor items that look better when blocked.
Love! How could I size down to baby or toddler ?
Thank you, just decrease the number of beginning chains and rows you make to get the desired size.
Can this hat be made with a 4 weight? Are there any instructions in the pattern for different size yarns? Thank you, love the hat!!
Yes, you can, but you'll have to use 3-4 strands held together.
Can I substitute a different yarn, like a 3or4 weight yarn and hold two together?
Yes, but you probably need more like 3-4 strands held together.
I used a 5 and made it 6 stitches bigger and 4 rows longer with a n hook because I didn't have a 6 yarn

You're welcome! The video is the adult size hat.
Does it have to be wool ?
No, you can use any size 6 yarn as long as you can meet gauge.
