You forgot the army training. Nowadays we just simply type a barrack to train a whole army. Upgrading all 4 barracks reduce training time. Back before that update, no training time reduce. Upgrading barracks just unlocked new troops and to train them, we have to tap the barrack and train them one by one
Selling decorations actually had a use, it could be used as a gold storage with 50% efficiency but unlootable, very useful when you left for a long time
oooh i love that even though it’s more convenient for them all to collect at once i got a certain satisfaction from collecting them one by one. this would be such a great way to please everyone
I remember collecting gold and elixir one by one on my brothers account. I didn't knew shit bout COC back then. It was back when dark elixir was not a thing. And I used to wait for the collect sign to popup and would ask permission from my brother to collect it 😆. It was fun and satisfying. Crazy how samll things holds our memories.

Globle was sooo great, every time, someone with an high rank joined the chat he was the king and everyone visited him. Also it was the best way to invite players in your clan. I have still my invite massages from years ago
You forgot, separate troop training on separate barracks. It was such a time consuming time back then. You had to strategically plan and train troops so all of them finish training at the same time and all your troops are ready for attack.
I think removing global in CoC & Clash Royale was very annoying because you can't really recruit easily if you're in a clan that isn't already fairly established. The removing of the flags was really annoying to someone that has been playing since 2012. I really hope they add either an unlimited storage for shovels or allow us to move decorations without the shovel because again as someone that's been playing since 2012 & kept at least ONE of EVERY seasonal decoration...it's insanely difficult to organize them...
Ya bro feel ya, i also think at this point they should remove shovels and let us remove our obstacles anywhere we want. Like in real life, u don't lose a shovel after a single use. U can make it the way like if we once use one shovel for an obstacle, then for the rest of our lives we can move those obstacles anywhere with those same shovels with out wasting any more. We get 1 shovel every month, and that is if ur clan does all the challenges. Fix it man.
I think that they got rid of the flags bc they wanted to remove one for a certain country but did not want it to offend anyone so they just removed all the flags
Training costs being removed imo was the best update to the game, it removes ALL stress behind attacking. Before you would have to worry about not profiting from an attack where as now ANY attack is profitable. It just makes the game so much more fun.
Agree, also it one of the ways to encourage players to keep attacking instead of just withholding their troops waiting for that special opportunity to come by whenever you're searching for a base in Multiplayer.

I guess I'm kinda mixed, it added an extra level of strategy to raids where you had to actually think about how effective a particular attack would be, so that you can maximize the amount of elixir you would save, plus removing the cost of things made it so you no longer have passive resource drains, I've been trying to max out my base before I go to town hall 7, and every single storage I have has been full for like a week, so there's no incentive for me to raid. On the other hand I can see how it is objectively better, you could theoretically soft lock yourself if you run out of elixir, or just aren't making enough to cover the cost of raiding

It's actually insane how much this game has changed, I very recently came back to the game. For reference when I initially stopped playing Town Hall 11 was the highest town hall and was still pretty new at the time. The amount of additions and changes Supercell has made over the years is really impressive and no wonder the game is still wildly popular.
Its pretty great that after removing the cost they replaced it with housing space which helps alot because now i know healers is 14 housing space, i usually use 70 housing space for healers
@@Ethan_LeBlanc dump it on the walls. If it is upgraded, then upgrade gold mines and cancels, doing this many times, stoping a uprade only gives 50% of resources back. If you have upgraded every gold mine, then go to the next town hall dude.
I honestly love the removal of training costs. It encourages you to use the troops you like more, I honestly hated using up all of my dark eiixr cause I liked using the valkries or hog riders

Spells costing gold and was actually pretty bad back in the day. Because that was also long before you could upgrade any walls with elixir. So there was a huge imbalance with gold and elixir in the game economy. Remember sometimes I wouldn’t even use spells unless I had to when farming just to save the gold. And it was also back when training an army could take and hour or two.
pretty sure a big reason they did it was economy balance as you would get much less elixir/DE while playing than gold depending on what army you used, so many people would max out all their defenses but their troop/hero levels would lag far behind, so many people either had to upgrade th with rushed troops or waste time upgrading no defenses to get their troops up to level
@@Logan-dk8of nope if you are th9 or th10 you will know full well that all majority of player base had more elixir than gold you will get most of the time 500,000 elixir and 300,000 gold but i agree on dark elixir, and the rushed troops are because you can only upgrade 1 troop/spell/siege? Per 1 week so its really pain especially if you aren't even using the troops you upgrade(i think that more troops will be rushed now that you can even use elixir to upgrade walls in th7?)
Agreed Still remember back in 2019 when I unlocked E drag a full E drag army costs about 300,000+ Elixir and for a TH 11 that is quite a lot specially since not all of your attacks won't be a sure victory
One more thing, the shield system. Shield is gone when you start to finding enemy base. In the update, the shield reducing a few hour per attacking until the durations end plus a guard mode to keep attacking without losing its duration and keep your base is safe until the period. It take more advantages to push the trophies league

I've recently came back to this game after a few years, and I didn't notice until now. I was really confused for a sec when you mentioned it, but after logging on, i noticed i really did only have 1 barrack.
Yeah it was a little funny to see chunks of my base missing for the barracks they removed. Wish we could've gotten some compensation for all the wasted resources and time tho 🤨

I liked town hall sniping, it only stole 1000 of each recource but maybe it'd make it so there were less bases to attack because more people would be searching after using their armies and giving cheap shields
I didn't even realize that hero sleep had been removed. I just always had them sleeping because it was supremely annoying to logon to do an attack only to find your hero's recovering from being attacked. So in that case, I guess it falls under D for me
The blue walls didn't look good with th10, but I really wish they used them for level 13 walls, since they would have looked perfect with th12, and the current ones don't look that good
Tapping the collectors could be a toggle menu thing in the settings , basically you get the choice if you want to collect loot all together or tap every collector individually
Not all the worlds flags were included so rather than add flags which could cause issues if particular sets of people don't recognise those countries as countries, or if their views aren't exactly favorable they most likely just decided to remove then entirely
tapping collectors 1 by 1 was also good bc colletors didn't gave a lot of loot back in the day, so it was actually a way to protect yourself from getting 3 star'ed and losing a lot of resources
i played in 2013 and 2014 but only recently came back to the game and was sad to see global was removed and troop costs were removed. troop costs provided good balance to powerful attacks like hogs or dragons (back in the day) and more recently, electro dragons. it gave you a sense of some victory even on a lost defense because your opponent used so much elixir or dark elixir. also made attacks like barch viable and im a sucker for old clash nostalgia.
Defense reloading would be amazing as an April fools prank, just a throwback to the old days you know? They should really add the stuff the OGs remember like one day every year. Maybe anniversary day?
I like to think Havoc saw that training troops doesn't cost anything anymore and that he's mad he can't waste his full elixirs on anything else so he made this video

I remember clicking on every collector and rearming the traps was so annoying and sometimes could cost a lot, I personally dont miss anything except global
I think the removal of global chat is a super big mistake for couple of reasons. 1.Clash of clan got a lot less social, ,making new friends is harder, if nobody was on in you clan to chat to you could easily have a chat in global. 2.Finding a new clan that you like is harder this problem is not that bad for veteran players they mostly know a lot of clans this is more a problem for lower/new players. If you have some good takes let me know :) I truly hope that they will bring it back :)
Dude. Global chat was removed because some people were being incredibly inappropriate, scamming, doxing, everything. Clash didn’t have enough moderators so they did what they had to - removing Global Chat.
I really miss "townhall sniping", I remember when clans had "farm season" for farming and a "push season" for trophies. Maybe some clans still do that but makes a lot less sense now
I would want the old school wall breakers back. I know it was annoying attacking with it cuz he would only target the nearest wall, but you could build very creative and weird wall patterns that were so much effective and changes how someone will try to attack you.
Wow, I forgot about heroes going down after a defense. That was one of the main reason I quit back in the day. Id wait 3 hours for my pekka army to finally finish training only to find that my heroes were gonna be down for the next hour when I was ready to attack. So glad this was removed
I wish that multiplier returned along with a marginal buff to hogs. I just think it’s pretty funny how they are randomly just weak against giant bombs.
Personally this is only my opinion about the game! been playimg ever since 2016 my first time learning the game was awesome the nostalgia hits hard when they removed all the things us OG fans never really expected Flags,Global and ofc the training cost like the whole point of the game is to upgrade and pay train armies and it costs you little to nothing like i dont mind if its about balancing the costs but comoletely removing it just hurt my soul playing this game it still feels weird training troops and nothing is haooening with your resources it really feels akward but still love the game the best thing about clash is that they're listening to there players whether it be CR/Brawl and Coc thanks a lot for this wonderful game ❤️ also removing global chat was completely unnecesary thats the only 1 i want back and would completely loved it regardless thanks havoc for the awesome vid 💯
The flags were probably removed because there are some countries who weren't there and it felt kinda sad seeing that you cannot add your flag. At least now everyone is equal

Town hall sniping defeated the propuse of the game, having a good defense and attacking regularly, I admit I used to love finding town halls outside while I was pushing throphies but I understand why it was problematic
selling building might return but not exactly more like an ability to stash building like decorations but only defenses since the area of the home village is getting limited more and more

Global being removed is 100% why the game fell off for a lot of casuals and isn’t as main stream anymore tbh, bring it back and spare some of the millions they’ve made for better moderating
The thing is the global chat give us a reason why we would stay longer in the game. Without it, we’re just able to attack and place buildings in the work.
I want the global chat back as well, it was a good way to find new Dutch members, since there was a global chat for multiple languages. Nowadays, finding good players of my country is really difficult.

Which already was a huge improvement at the time. But it still sucked, and we didnt even know 😂 We just lived with it

They are making easier for casual players. Veterans and Proplayers don't care about how easy the grind to a high TH is because we are already there all we veterans care about is getting into hight ladder and pro's probably just want more defenses and troops.

After literally joined back to the game about a week ago, never have I thought that Training Cost is GONE, I can use the Elixirs on so many things now I can't believe this but, the game is actually better and might be the only game that is good after many updates Imagine if they lower the time it takes for everything (building, training), that would be twice as interesting considering how much time it takes to do so :DDD
I'm so glad that using lightning on storages was removed because it was annoying as hell. I was very surprised when the training cost was removed but I wouldn't be sad if it returned. Global is very nostalgic for me but it had some very bad problems. I also remember when reloading traps was a thing and it was annoying but I lived with it.
Global Chat was my childhood man. Had so much fun when it was there. I understand why they removed it but man it killed the game so much. Had only good memories with it. Had funny conversations, found the clan where I'm still in now and also it was so good for recruitment...
I lost my old account because of Facebook login removal, i remember i was th8, back when th9 was max. When I rejoined the game i had such a bad surprise having to start all over..
I honestly like some of these quality of life changes, because it’s a testament to how far the game has come and how polished it’s become, I love CoC because it’s a game best defined with the phrase “Play the long game”

Free army is actually excellent, as I remember in lower th I would not use full dark elixir comps as they were too expensive

They removed the feature where you have multiple barracks. But now, you can only have 1 barrack (including the dark barrack)
I've recently came back to this game after a few years, and I didn't notice until now. I was really confused for a sec when you mentioned it, but after logging on, i noticed i really did only have 1 barrack.
Yeah it was a little funny to see chunks of my base missing for the barracks they removed. Wish we could've gotten some compensation for all the wasted resources and time tho 🤨
@@avionmurch1298im 100% sure that you will save time when training troops because you maintain that 4x speed with one barrack plus you don't have to assign troops to every barrack to train faster

I liked town hall sniping, it only stole 1000 of each recource but maybe it'd make it so there were less bases to attack because more people would be searching after using their armies and giving cheap shields

I didn't even realize that hero sleep had been removed. I just always had them sleeping because it was supremely annoying to logon to do an attack only to find your hero's recovering from being attacked.

The blue walls didn't look good with th10, but I really wish they used them for level 13 walls, since they would have looked perfect with th12, and the current ones don't look that good
Tapping the collectors could be a toggle menu thing in the settings , basically you get the choice if you want to collect loot all together or tap every collector individually
Not all the worlds flags were included so rather than add flags which could cause issues if particular sets of people don't recognise those countries as countries, or if their views aren't exactly favorable they most likely just decided to remove then entirely
Tbh, I miss global. It was a cool way to just chat with people if you didn't feel like raiding

tapping collectors 1 by 1 was also good bc colletors didn't gave a lot of loot back in the day, so it was actually a way to protect yourself from getting 3 star'ed and losing a lot of resources
i played in 2013 and 2014 but only recently came back to the game and was sad to see global was removed and troop costs were removed. troop costs provided good balance to powerful attacks like hogs or dragons (back in the day) and more recently, electro dragons. it gave you a sense of some victory even on a lost defense because your opponent used so much elixir or dark elixir. also made attacks like barch viable and im a sucker for old clash nostalgia.

you could hold on one collector, then it would collect from all the others as well. That's what I did back in 2014-15.
I think the removal of global chat is a super big mistake for couple of reasons.
1.Clash of clan got a lot less social,
,making new friends is harder, if nobody was on in you clan to chat to you could easily have a chat in global.
2.Finding a new clan that you like is harder this problem is not that bad for veteran players they mostly know a lot of clans this is more a problem for lower/new players.

Dude. Global chat was removed because some people were being incredibly inappropriate, scamming, doxing, everything. Clash didn’t have enough moderators so they did what they had to - removing Global Chat.

I would want the old school wall breakers back. I know it was annoying attacking with it cuz he would only target the nearest wall, but you could build very creative and weird wall patterns that were so much effective and changes how someone will try to attack you.
Global chat was a dope feature. I met a guy back in 2016 on global chat and we're bros now. Never met in person tho. Gave me a lot of friends
Wow, I forgot about heroes going down after a defense. That was one of the main reason I quit back in the day. Id wait 3 hours for my pekka army to finally finish training only to find that my heroes were gonna be down for the next hour when I was ready to attack. So glad this was removed
I wish that multiplier returned along with a marginal buff to hogs. I just think it’s pretty funny how they are randomly just weak against giant bombs.
Personally this is only my opinion about the game! been playimg ever since 2016 my first time learning the game was awesome the nostalgia hits hard when they removed all the things us OG fans never really expected Flags,Global and ofc the training cost like the whole point of the game is to upgrade and pay train armies and it costs you little to nothing like i dont mind if its about balancing the costs but comoletely removing it just hurt my soul playing this game it still feels weird training troops and nothing is haooening with your resources it really feels akward but still love the game the best thing about clash is that they're listening to there players whether it be CR/Brawl and Coc thanks a lot for this wonderful game ❤️

The flags were probably removed because there are some countries who weren't there and it felt kinda sad seeing that you cannot add your flag. At least now everyone is equal

Town hall sniping defeated the propuse of the game, having a good defense and attacking regularly, I admit I used to love finding town halls outside while I was pushing throphies but I understand why it was problematic
selling building might return but not exactly more like an ability to stash building like decorations but only defenses since the area of the home village is getting limited more and more

The thing is the global chat give us a reason why we would stay longer in the game. Without it, we’re just able to attack and place buildings in the work.
I want the global chat back as well, it was a good way to find new Dutch members, since there was a global chat for multiple languages. Nowadays, finding good players of my country is really difficult.
You can use Discord or Reddit to recruit. You don’t need global chat for that
It also was the worst, when you had to train troops in every single barack and calculate the troop times, so that they all got ready at the same time

@@vVincent. no clue. A long time ago. First they introduced a button which allowed to switch from one baracks to another without having to look for your last barack in the corner of your village. Which already was a huge improvement at the time. But it still sucked, and we didnt even know 😂 We just lived with it

Training times are still a thing. Time is a big resource. Not very cost effective to wait 1 hour to farm if barching is around 25mins.

Did you play when they were in the game? Most of us disliked a lot of these things, the game is so much better and more free to play friendly now
They are making easier for casual players. Veterans and Proplayers don't care about how easy the grind to a high TH is because we are already there all we veterans care about is getting into hight ladder and pro's probably just want more defenses and troops.
Global chat remove the most shocking thing I was so disappointed. its been 4 years I don't play Coc and I am glad that I grew with coc 2014-2018

I'm so glad that using lightning on storages was removed because it was annoying as hell. I was very surprised when the training cost was removed but I wouldn't be sad if it returned. Global is very nostalgic for me but it had some very bad problems. I also remember when reloading traps was a thing and it was annoying but I lived with it.

Yeah, there were probably ton of people requesting Ukrainian flag to be added in CoC, but by doing that or ignoring it Supercell would appear one sided. So they just removed flags completely
