I don't think wizard tower is that bad. Bomb towers don't hit air, wizard tower does. Wizard tower actually helps damage down balloons and when paired with air sweepers, it's pretty good.
and also, wizard towers have the most helth out of the "regular" defenses, which has some value as since theya rent as important as things like scatershots, you can afford to put them into positions where theya re poised to soak damage. In that case, they are maybe the most durable speedbump to the enemy army in a world where walls are a joke

Problem with the walls is simply that there are to many things that can easily take them down or go over it. First with so many strong airtroops you have pure air armies that are very effective, than you have hog riders and jump spells which allows troops to easily go over it and with root riders, wall breakers, log launcher and wallbreaker you can easily just plow through walls. With both walls and mortars the game gave us so many stuff to make them useless, yet never updated them along side it to counter
The way they could buff walls is by making walls a gear up thing, like they could make it so you can gear up 25 walls. And that mean they they can block flight troops
Changes to to make: have the multimortar be a single fire lava launcher that basically acts as it does in builder base. For wizard tower, it can have an upgrade where the tower has a lightning arc so it can hit troops that are a small distance away from each other
I have a good idea how to rework mortar. Make them shoot spells. Zap shell: Stuns troops and hits air. Flame/Poison shell: Leaves a damaging aoe where it lands. Freeze shell: Freezes opponent troops at the cost of damage. It would also have a bigger radius of damage where it hits.
Fun fact: The home village multi mortars dont do 3x damage, rather it splits up 1 mortar damage into 3 shots. So even if you have it geared up, leave it as a normal mortar
7:15 There is another plus for multi mortar before BB 2.0... Eeryone and their dog wanted O.T.T.O which required lvl 9 multi mortar, which means that people focused on getting it upgraded first. Most times you encountered level 4-5 defenses but a maxed multi mortar, therefore it was strong as heck in comparison.

It's just the simple fact that the mortar and wizard tower are able to miss (and do very often). They should change the code to have them work more like cannons and archers. Where they home in to an extent to avoid missing. Maybe not with the Mortar, but the wizard tower could totally use that.

Id say the wiz tower and mortar have niche cases where they shine despite being overall worse than the other defenses. The wiz tower is really strong against bat spam, although this attack isnt that popular these days. You give the Mortar accuracy it’s essentially just a weaker Eagle Artillery. You give the Mortar more damage the less troops it hits, it’s just a Monolith but with AOE. You give the Mortar the ability to hit air troops, it’s just a worse Scattershot. You give the Mortar the ability to slow down troops, stun, etc it’s just ripping off the Spell Tower. There are so many defenses in the game that would do it’s job better, I don’t know what they could even try
For the mortars alongside increasing their damage and accuracy, how about giving them a merge feature that allows them to target multiple troops (both air and ground troops) like the multi-target inferno tower. But of course it will do less damage that an inferno tower, however can be more effective against swarms like as mentioned before balloons, minions and hog riders; since those troops typically travel in groups.
maybe they could replace the mortar with a Flak Cannon style weapon; it would make sense for it to still do splash damage _and_ be able to target flying troops with splash damage too.
I still think wall prices should be cut in half, even more so. But they still play an important role in the base. There is a reason you can easily wipe a farm base with all the buildings exposed. People have to waste space in their army just to use a troop to bypass walls. Any low damage ground troop easily gets slowed down by walls. In the end I think its absurd the price of walls is more expensive then upgrading every building in your base but they are still important.
I genuinly belive if levy invests in a sports psychologist he can truly hone his chess skills… I don’t think it’s a chess problem… sports psychologists are AMAZING at changing one’s mindset and help dominate… every great player had one it goes a long way and can make or break your career if you don’t have one… (he has the foundation, skills, talent and work to be a GM… just needs to seal it with mentality and confidence that he can get from outside of chess)
Maybe an airburst mortar would be cool. Toggle it like an xbow. Get a bigger circle close to the mortar to fit with the airburst danger and let it hit air troops
To fix mortars I think a small buff would be great, I was thinking it could get a sort of ability to make it deal extra damage to something if it only hits the 1 target to basically turn it into a long range canon if it can’t use its splash damage properly but I also think they should give it a merged version similar to the canon and archer tower, to fix the walls they need to make them significantly cheaper, might also be a good idea to let u buy walls from the shop at the max level of your previous townhall, similar to the mortar the air defense should get a merged version which should nerf air strategies and thus buff the walls, the wizard tower is also one of those defenses that should get a merged version which would help aside from that all they really need to do is maybe increase the dps and/or aoe
