- In today's video, I'm trying trendy nail art Swirl nails as a real time tutorial with NO voiceover.

I'm using Glitterbels acrylic system Porcelain core powder on top of the square matte nail tips.
After applying the core powder I'm pinching the nails one by one showing how to pinch nails. I'm also sharing how I e-file the nails and hand filing, as well as how long the hand painted swirl nail design takes and how to do it faster. This set is matte with the gel polish design done shiny with a small brush.

Love this design! Thank you for sharing your techniques and your thought process throughout the design. Also I love that you pointed out how long this design took you for the client perspective. A lot of thought goes into figuring out how to accomplish a look and techs are expected to do it on the fly within the alloted appointment time. Also clients should understand that extra time translates to extra cost! You are a true magician!😇

You could try a mug warmer to make sure your monemer isn't too cold, or a small heating pad. I heard that works great for acrylic liquid and for hard gels in colder climates.

@@SarahsNailSecrets How long do you cure the gel polish line designs? Also I'm trying to achieve this look with gel polish, so I went in with a matte top coat but I would love the designs to be glossy, do I need to go over the line designs with glossy top coat or can I just cure the gel color line designs and it'll be ok. Am I over thinking this?
You can apply flossy on top super thin on the color
Or do the matte first then the color
Or you could be over thinking it and they look good as is? Haha

These are beautiful! I love the design! I am so happy you have put out another full length video. I’ve got a question. I apologize for it not having anything to do with this video. It has to do with fills on current sets. When they have grown out for a few fills, the c curve sort of disappears on mine. Is there any way (short of removing set and starting all over with a fresh set) of getting that c curve back?

After you went over the spots with the glossy topcoat did you put matte over top of the white? I’m just curious because I wanted to put Matte topcoat over top of my nail beds but then leave the bottom part glossy and I’m having a really hard time. Can I just do a section with the shiny topcoat or would that make it peel if I didn’t put it over the whole entire nail? I hope you understand what I’m trying to say.

Can I use acetone instead of alcohol to wipe off my mistakes for nail art?
Looove these, every time I try and do a swirl design the gel “bleeds” or “slips” around.. do you have any tips on how to get the design to stay put?
Could be the brand you’re using, it might be more watery
Really shake your bottles up before painting
Also use way way less like do the line faint
Cure
Then go over it to build the color up
Doing it over a matte top coat might help as well

The matte and shiny look really nice. Personally, would love to see sport length. I would love to have nails as long as this, but usually keep mine about 3mm free edge. 😕

I love the shape of these tips, however I find it too difficult to use the cash machine with those shape of nails. Maybe I did them too thick. 🤷🏽♀️

And I wiped with a bit of alcohol
That can dry out your brush so you can also wipe on a lint free wipe that has clear gel in it

love them but your acrylic application looks quite thin looking from tip to cuticle. i would do them thicker to last no not chip
Strength comes from the c-curve and apex not thickness - so making them thicker would not make them stronger
What is a flash cure
Using the UV/LED light for a quick cure 2-5 seconds just to cure it in place so you don’t smug it
Then you do the full cure when you’re done
Why are your nail beds so shiny?
I have a peel off base down for easy removal that’s how I’m able to film a lot on myself lol

I have never seen this pinching technique. I don't get why. The shape didn't change that much and it looks uncomfortable.

And it shouldn’t hurt! You always want to be gentle when pinching
This is the main way to pinch nails, with a pinching tool. It makes a huge difference to the c curve and strength of the nails
Just not keen on glitterballs gel polish 😂
You can do this with any brand 💕
