Had to be before about June 1, 1989. WGBH and GBX had mostly moved to the "museum" sign on and off before 1989 but still used this occasionally

MSTS1, there’s another footage of the WGBX-44 Sign-off from Sep, 20, 1985, voiced by William Pierce with the subtitles on the sign-off, recorded by Joe Zaldivar.

Its really amusing just how audible William Pierce's voice is underneath the Tom Dunn overdub. I suppose they had done that after his retirement, and since he was no longer contracted they couldn't use his voice any longer. Its just funny how its sort of a shoddy overdub. Also- I wonder when they added that horizontal scroll...it must have been at least 1988.

The original version with William Pierce narration has finally been found and is here on youtube.

I don't believe so, I was very surprised to even find these last two WGBH and WGBX pieces.

Do you have the WGBH & WGBX sign-on and sign-off from the 1990's? I remembered the WGBX sign-off. It was first used in 1980 and lasted till 1989.
