Am very grateful for your well explained techniques and methods. What about wearing a pair white or light-colored gloves for more contrast - it would be easier for us, your viewing audience, to see the small position changes in your hands.....

I’m totally in awe of you and your training methods and results. Every video has helped me and my pony. I hope one day when we are riding Grand Prix, I can look back and have you to thank.

I really love watching your videos. I have an OTTB myself and your tips and tricks were really useful for me as a rider. Here in Belgium, the race sport is very small, due to beting on horses being illegal. Which means the trainers keeping racehorses, are not the best educated. My horse was literally a cash cow and scrapped after 41 races. As thoroughbreds are considered as ”bad” here, my goal is to prove them wrong and make him a good companion in both dressage and jumping. Thanks for sharing really good content,

love this Alicia!! and it has helped me with my mare QUITE a bit! some previous advice/training I've had had me using low wide hands and loose reins, which was all well and good for trotting around with her nose in the ground, but really nothing else. Now we're working on getting more consistent connection, she goes on the bit and is starting to use her hind end more :) AND is becoming spook proof! AND this is making evrything else we're learning go so much faster and easier. WOOHOO!

incredible. You know a rider is good if they look like they are just chilling up there and the horse does piruettes lol. Then theres me who struggles to stay out and get into corners. Better at riding racehorses up a gallop than a pony in a circle in a school.

This is yet another great video, I have used so many of the techniques that you have shown us and have had such improvements in our way of going it’s unreal.
I have also managed to find a trainer that is really great at helping me get the exercises that you show us correct. We start each of our lessons now with a chat about what I’m trying to achieve from the videos that I have watched and then spend time each week training them as correctly as I can ride them. The combination of a great pair of eyes on the ground and the fantastic information that you give is just unbeatable. My riding has progressed so much in such a short space of time! I can’t thank you enough Alicia, I have spent so many years stuck in the same place with my training. Thank you, thank you,a million times thank you.

What I truly love about Alicia's videos she just knows that just about everyone can be trained to ride a horse and learn the more experienced moves by learning contact, suppleness, and Grand Prix Hands. I just had this conversation with my daughter yesterday after riding Ollie’s Level 2 test!!! It’s amazing how really little you have to do with your hands once the connection with body/seat is there and working. Half-halting then comes more from the body/seat than from the hands. Having said that - there is also a certain level of fitness and finesse that a rider learns or doesn’t learn because they give up trying. Thank you for giving me hope. I’ve said this before in my comments but can’t help repeating just how much my awareness of what I am doing step-by-step has improved. Also, the toolkit of exercises to improve way of going and solve ‘issues’ has enabled me to start thinking more like the ‘Grand Prix’ rider even though I have never experienced that first hand. I can’t thank you enough!

This was a wonderful explanation and insight into what to do with the hands while trying to get connection. I will certainly be more conscious of putting them back into grand prix position the next time I ride the pony! I never connected the hands with the horse‘s balance. I‘m sure it‘ll be super helpful and the pony will be glad that I learned something :D Thanks so much Alicia

Absolutely love your video, want to watch all of them! Hoping to take away a lot from them and take them into training with my off the track standardbred, finding schooling really difficult right now so praying some research and practice makes some change. You’ve got a great encouraging voice 🥰

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much! I'm learning all this stuff while being on a break from riding (just moved from Australia to the US), and I can't wait to see how different my riding is when I get back on! And I'm so excited to see how my riding develops over time now that I'm a DMA member. ****HAPPY DANCE****. Looking forward to hands dash cam!

I’d watched this video a few months ago and it was a great refresher to watch again.
Alicia - you’ve helped me to connect all the dots between years of lessons, horses and trainers. My understanding has grown exponentially and I’m able to translate her teachings to my rides. Night 🌙 and day ☀️!! This video will stay in my Main Library as a reminder!
    Many thanksl! 😊 💕🐴🥕🍎

Absolutely the best piece of instruction about the inside rein. I was taught this about the inside rein before but the reason was never explained. I be watch international dressage riders and seen them do it and never understood why.

Alicia you’re the bomb. I love how you take the good the bad and the ugly. It’s not always pretty. You are so generous with your knowledge and you know how to relay the knowledge. Thank you so much.
