I actually liked the new packaging. It was unique. The old packaging look is so common in health snacks that it would be easily overlooked.

I disagree about the packaging. I think the new one is much nicer and more eye catching. The bright colors and palm trees also show the middle eastern vibe she's trying to push. The minimalist original packaging blends in with all the other health foods and as a consumer I'd probably end up ignoring it. It's boring.

I'm a big fan of Mark Cuban, but I have to say that Kevin O'Leary is the soul of this show.
The variety of businesses that he invests in is impressive. He's everywhere.

He is far from that. Going around still calling SBF a genius, saying he'll invest with him again. He has no spine. Look up his boating accident then come back here please. People need to really do their homework on these so called smart people before making Gods of them. The fact that the network has not suspended him is unbelievable.
He actually goes out his way to be entertaining and polarizing for the show, I'm a big fan of Mr wonderful

Wonderful entrepreneur. What she said, in the end, is something very few entrepreneurs understand. 70% of something big is far better than owning 100% of something small. The exposure on Shark Tank plus working with Mr. Wonderful i'm sure the business is doing quite well now.

EXACTLY!!!! Too many entrepreneurs BLOW it because they don’t understand the magnitude of what this means. When sharks demand a high percentage it’s because they already know the market and the work required to make the business successful which means they have to be more involved in the process thus cutting into their precious time away from their other businesses. The way entrepreneurs can counter with a better deal is for them to propose a target where if reached they can buy back some equity which most sharks oblige bkuz they just wanna see their investment return quicker! Only a few entrepreneurs have done this counter-offer which should always be done as a last resort before you give up alot of equity😳it always amazes me when some people show up in the tank unprepared to negotiate effectively🤦♀️

She really focused on every detail of her pitch and it shows. Her outfit is perfect from head to toe, she looks incredibly luxe. The stage setup is very well put together, new packaging is eye-catching and unique. This is one of the most pristine pitches I've seen. Love it!

I know other people have already pointed this out, but the new packaging is wayyy better. Simply cause if im walking in an aisle and i see that package in my peripherals , you know im gonna stop and take a closer look at it just cause of its packaging and not its contents.

I feel like she could put the new packaging on the more exotic flavors and the old one for the simple flavors...that way she could experiment and see which packaging gives better results in terms of sales.
Proper A/B split test would be to do two shipments in identical stores and then compare. When adding in a C to the test you won't know if it's just the flavor choice

Rejection from potential investors is tough; it seemed she had too much of her emotion vested coming to shark tank, it is natural, but she stood up well and dignifiedly. I wouldn’t say it was a mistake. It has been a year since we rebranded and the response has been beyond phenomenal. The sharks were wrong on this one!
I can understand why you would think and say that but the other side of it is: sometimes people don’t take you seriously if they’re only paying attention to your looks. So “good looks” become hindering when you’re a hardworking and passionate person who truly wants to succeed based on merit and nothing else. In which case, a good looking person wouldn’t be born at the finish line. Quite frankly if I was banking on my looks I wouldn’t have started a business lol

I liked the new packaging too. The Magic Dates name actually got me to click on the video cuz I thought it was a dating app. But it depends. Are you marketing it as a healthy item or a sweet treat? Cuz the healthy item stuff is usually white, but I guess it could help you stand out a bit. Good for Kevin for taking a shot on a small company that needs a lot of work. Very fair offer, and a good chance to blow it up and see what happens. If it fails, she has a great career as a backup.

I was honestly more shocked than hurt! The rebrand has been such a home run for us and SO much research had gone into the decision so I just wasn’t expecting them to be critical of it. Luckily, a year into the rebrand I can tell you they were dead wrong :)

Yeah pretty obvious. But, then Mark offers so much more advantages than all the rest. He has more money than all of them combined by about 3 times over.
@@neilldn74 Eh, they all have enough money and connections to help. Being in business, that's not always a good thing. When you have money like Mark it's easier to detach and pull the chord on a company then to see it through. 150K is a drop in the bucket to everybody sitting up there, but people don't realize that Barbara giving you 300K and Mark giving you 300K won't be the same relationship because of his net worth. I'm not saying he's a bad partner, but he's not going to be as invested/motivated to make sure that company succeeds.
