Quizizz.com is a great alternative to Kahoot or Socrative and perhaps easier to use, especially in an online class. In this video, I take you through the technology step by step.

Quizizz.com is very similar to kahoot and Socrative. They are technologies that can be used to make lessons more engaging.Teaches can create a quiz and then the students can access the quiz from their telephones or from a computer. One of the reasons that I like quizezz.com so much is that it has a nice variety of question types. There are not only multiple choice questions but 5 other options too. It also allows teachers to include videos and pictures in the quizzes that I create. So quizizz.com is an Ideal tool for using either in a classroom situation but also online. Teaches simply can create a quiz and then they share a code with the students so that students can access and complete the quiz.
There are actually two different types of modes when working with Quizizz.com. So it is possible to use quizzes in a classroom situation with the students working in groups and answering the questions or it can be completely teacher controlled in a step-by-step process.The tool has a lot of flexibility and is ideal for formative assessment. When you are teaching online you need to check your student’s understanding on a regular basis and quizizz.com is the ideal tool for doing this. The great thing too about quizzes is that it's also a free tool.
Quizizz.com will also provide you with a lots of information about your students' performance. This is why it's such a great tool for formative assessment. Teachers are able to look at the performance of the students off to doing an activity and see where they need to do additional teaching or revision work. It gives you a break down of questions, answers and overall performance making it ideal for formative assessment.
To make a quiz is very simple. A teacher simply writes in the questions and makes sure that they tell the system what the correct answer is. It is best to create about 10-12 questions and then the students can begin to do the quiz. Teachers simply click on the play button, share the code with the students and the students can access the quiz. Remember it's possible to let the students answer the questions in their own time or for the teacher to control the quiz and do it on a step-by-step basis. Quizezz.com can also be used in the homework situation so it's possible for the teacher to set up take the date when the quiz has to be completed. The system will also track everything. One of the most powerful things about quizzes is it actually tracks all of the students activities and gives you very detailed feedback on the student’s performance including what questions they got right or wrong. This tracking of the students' activity is really powerful. It means it's ideal both to be used in the classroom or online teaching situation or simply as homework for students to do after the lesson.
Quizizz.com is an alternative to kahoot all to Socrative. But perhaps in some ways it's actually slightly easier. The reason for this is when we use Kahoot we need to screen share the questions on the screen while the students answer the questions on their device. However when we work with quizizz.com we simply start the quiz and the students can see the questions on their device and simply answer them, so in this way is actually easier to use than kahoot.
Quizezz.com is a great tool to use if you want to do a nice warm-up activity with your students or if you want to do a quick activity at the end to check their understanding of the lesson. Students can do the activities in group so it's ideal ideal for collaborative teaching but of course they can also do them individually.

Quizizz appeals at first glance - but it has a huge catch: the so-called open-ended questions (the only question type where a student actually still has to think and formulate a bit on his own) are always scored 100% correct. Seriously? Or have I overlooked a crucial feature? As long as this question type can't be evaluated manually by the teacher (like in Microsoft Forms), Quizizz doesn't make much sense. Only multiple choice, survey or fill-in-the-blank questions can be accurately graded. And these have a huge disadvantage: The student's thinking process is reduced considerably. Even blotting paper would have a 1:4 chance of achieving a correct answer - if it only had little fingers to operate the keyboard. 😁😁😁

Nice explanations. However, I was wondering what you meant by "You can only limit them [in terms of the number of times they can play the quiz] if you get them to sign in"? My understanding is that if you "log in", they only need the link and the password whereas "sign in" means that they need their own personal account. Am I right? Also, because there are so many multiple-choice style quiz websites and it can get a bit overwhelming, will you be doing a comparison video between Kahoot, Quizziz, Socrative, Quizlet and similar quiz websites in the future?
You are exactly right. If students don't sign in, in theory they can do the exercise as many times as they like...but I don't tell them this and most just do it once.

I used Kahoot in the past week and suffered from an Status_Access_Violation error. I hope Quizizz doesn't produce the same error. Thanks for the quick tutorial. Could you do a small tutorial on some remote exam website?
Abdul, I don't know what that message is. It has never happened to me. I don't know about exam sites but I will keep my eyes open for some.
Did the QUIZIZZ update? Until recently, I could share the screen and the students only work with my permissiveness, all at once, like at KAHOOT. Now I can't take the sharing link as in the version from 7-8 months ago (when I gave PLAY there was the possibility to take the share link from the left, and now this option is no longer), the design is changed, the code and the students work alone, I only see the changes in the scores. I don't like this variant, I was more attracted to the one in which they went after me or with me, just like at KAHOOT. We were discussing, we were doing the analysis for each question and answer, now ....... I only see their answers after the completion and I only watch them live on the podium. : ((((((((
Pantea, it must be your settings when you make a Quiz. I am using the tool all the time and everything seems fine to me. You must be very careful with the settings when you want to activate a quiz. That is the only thing I can think of.

Inviting other teachers to join your Quizizz link doesn't extend your free use, and you'll know they've joined when you see their names in the "Join Game" section.

When they join a game, they have the chance to add their names. You don't see that but they do.
I am writing a lesson on my desktop.. a message saying can't complete presentation because the screen is too small.

You can't see what the students are seeing unless you log in on a device and play the game yourself. I sometimes do that.

Hi Mr. Russell. I have a doubt. I created a quiz on quizizz. They were all MCQs with a specific time duration set for each question. I tried it first before posting to my students to ensure if it works well. I found a very small issue. When I choose a wrong answer, it gives a funny feedback. Fine. But I am able to change the answer and keep trying different answers until the stipulated time gets over. Am I missing on any feature in the setting? something that doesn't let the child change the answer once he or she has chosen an option and he or she has received the feedback? Await reply. No that is correct. When we do it in a really open way without the students being logged into a class then it is really only for formative feedback. The free tool has its limitations and I have noticed that too. In the free tool, depending on how it is set up, they can go back and change their answers...but don't tell them this!!

Casely, you can add pictures to each answer options. You click on the picture icon when you make the quiz and add the pictures there. You can also add a picture to the question as well.
