3.5 petrol is a winner

In comparison yes but diesel are more reliable in bad terrain and better fuel economy
@Khb 888 It is slow af, but I guess torque and being able to carry a load up a hill without slow down is more important that acceleration.
I wonder how many islanders will do this up with fancy led lights and chrome rims 😅

Ditch the standard rims and drop in a Alphard 18" rims and you have a van larger than the Alphard

@@dalehutchence5752 Did 20,000km on the ZR model, then traded it in for the larger version (ZX) and have done 25,000km on that one. I mite be getting a VW Crafter 35 soon as I want AWD and to be able to stand up in the back. but the new hiace has been great.

Hiace 300 >> Fat Hiace
0-60 = 4.83sec
0-100 = 11.55sec

@@aborkmga1 No it should clean itself while driving but it might not work when driving short distances. Then you need to replace it.
+ It takes away power from the engine because of more resistance in the exhaust system.

Or you could be a dirty pig and remove the DPF. Then your car is nasty af.
@@thatswiss1385 that's was very informative indeed thank you , and a bit scary cus in my country diesel engine is the way to go , gasoline is very expensive and has less octane I think it's like 86 octane very poor for most new cars
The one with manual transmission is actually much faster.

Why is everybody complaining about the DPF? Is is really that new in Australia? In europe we have those close to 20 years now I think. And, without to much problems. We now have SCR systems, which require some more attention.

But where is the raw diesel pouring out of the exhaust? The flaming brand and pitchfork brigade will not be satisfied unless they claim a victim against a mass market product, regardless of whether they have encountered such a situation or not.

2004-2018 Hiace 200 is still produced, still Sale in Japan 。 Euro 6 is 2.8 Diesel Engine
