    Fun fact: Balotelli while playing for Man. City he assisted only once (to Aguero for that incredible goal that let City win the premier league) and Barou, at least in the anime (haven’t caught up with the manga so I don’t know if after volume 11 he did it again but I doubt it), assisted only once to Isagi, and both situations were even desperate ones where they had no choice.

    It actually makes a lot of sense that Isagi is inspired by Pippo Inzaghi. He was an ordinary player with average abilities (except for his capacity of positioning). But he was also a really egoistic on the field, perfectly fitted for wat Ego is searching for, the type of striker that always searched for his goals over the victory of the team. There are plenty of examples. In 2000 in a game for Juventus he scored 2 goals were he prefered to try to shoot in front of the goalkeeper, risking to miss while Alessandro del Piero was totally free, that caused a division between the two and Milan bought Inzaghi from Juventus the next year. The most famous one happened during the world cup of 2006 (that Italy won) during Italy-Czech republic. He ran for half of the field with the ball followed by simone barone who remained free and alone in front of the football goal while Inzaghi dodged the goalkeeper and surpassed him to score himself

    I was always of the opinion that Isagi was a combination of Inzaghi and Thomas Müller. As you said Inzaghi is known for surprising his opponents which perfectly suits Isagi. And what is Thomas Müller known for? Teamwork, positioning and most importantly on field intelligence. Isagi also does all of these things, especially with the intelligence, he can figure out how to make goals without needing to make some crazy stunt. Thomas Müller is also known for scoring some crucial goals and making some crucial passes.
    This is why I believe Isagi is a combination of the two.

      This is the one. With Inzaghi, the type of goals he scores, nobody can score them. Inzaghi is a true poacher. With him it was like goals loved him. Wasn't technically brilliant, but his movement off the ball was special.
      Then when you add off the ball movement, with Mullers style of play, then you have a guy who is near unstoppable, cos he can assist goals, but he can also score them.

    I thought Chigiri was inspired by Gareth Bale who was an explosive speedster in his prime with great finishing. Gareth Bale also had a lot of injuries especially his knee and ankle injuries.
    Barou for me resembles Cristiano Ronaldo because he's so tidy, disciplined and trains hard. Balotelli was a very lazy player despite his talent. Barou doesn't seem like he would ever miss training. Also his chops which are literally known as Cristiano chop

    Fun tidbit: Sir Alex Ferguson have said about Inzaghi “That lad must have been born offside” because he was so singlemindedly focused on scoring he always stuck with the last defender, thus he was very often offside when he started running just a fraction of a second earlier than the defender. Ah, good times. I've seen him play back then, what feels like hundreds of years ago.
    Having said that, Isagi does not feel like Inzaghi to me, he's more like Francesco Totti. Isagi in BlueLock plays like an attacking midfielder / second striker (who creates chances for the centre forward(s)), rather than a centre forward. And it doesn't get more centre forward than Inzaghi... He never created a chance for any other striker in his entire life, probably :)

    Sometimes injuries can ruin a young player career, Ryo Miachy wasn't bad at all, he was a good young player but when your weapon is speed then knee injuries are you worst ennemies because your first weapon is gone and need to adapt but only few players can do that.
    There is a player called Charly Musonda who was super good when he was young then spent almost 2 - 3 years without playing because of his knee injuries (both knees), the doctors said he should stop playing football at only 23 years old. He never gave up and trained for 2 years and has finally returned few months ago playing pro football which is amazing.

    Some other players from Blue Lock which I believe are inspired by footballers in real life are;
    Nagi is inspired by Dennis Bergkamp, who is known for his deadly first touches and his ability to 'trap' the ball. Just watch or search up for Dennis Bergkamp goal vs Newcastle and you'll understand why. Other players which I think could possibly be inspired for this character is Berbatov who is just known to be an absolute monster in his first touches, his ability to just kill off the pace from the ball with his first touch is something Nagi is also best known for.
    Rin Itoshi has shades of KDB imo, I believe that he has the vision and also the precision in execution. He is probably the only player who is alert at all times at every situation, very similar to the likes of KDB. I could say that he is also similar to Steven Gerrard, being able to sniff out interceptions in midfield, stopping the attack and starting them on his own. Taking insane long distance shots, reading the game, driving the team forward and just motivating his whole team by just being there; just being an absolute engine for the team. At the start of the 2nd selection, I remember him hitting the ball up in the air and then hitting another accurately to the other which is uncannily similar to an ad Gerrard did for Adidas with clay pigeons. (you can search it up as well!)
    Julien Loki is definitely just a copy paste of Mbappe. Nothing much to be said here.
    Sae Itoshi is probably Takefusa Kubo - both were young and were scouted by Real Madrid in youth levels. Both started off as strikers but have been converted to midfielders. But sadly unlike Sae, Kubo has not played a single game for Real Madrids first team in the league and have only made appearances in friendlies. Hope he has a great spell at Real Sociedad tho!

Someone like Haaland for instance was unprecedented in football history; it would be even cooler if the strikers were up to face players from another project just creating defenders, so you can see characters inspired by Stam, Maldini, Lucio, Zanetti, or midfielders, like Vieira, Yaya Toure, Pirlo, Gattuso, damn that hypes it up

    So as a Feyenoord fan i still remember Miyaichi very well. We were absolutely awfull during that time and then we got this japanese kid on loan for half a season who had never played a minute of profesional football. But then he started playing and he was fast and tricky and sometimes it felt like he was the only one who gave a shit. almost instantly he became our very best player. Back then i was sure he would become a mega star. Sadly he was never that player again after the injuries but he is still very fondly remembered in Rotterdam for just that half season

    Italy-England, 2014 World Cup (The last one we played before we "missed the train" for two consecutive World Cups.) The match started at MIDNIGHT (Italy time). Shirtless Balotelli after he scored (one of the first instances I remember a player was punished with the yellow for being shirtless) got us INCREDIBLY HYPED. Sadly, like in 2010, we got eliminated in the Group Stage.

    Not going to lie, I thought Barou was inspired by “Zlatan” he has almost every quality, his incredible range and insanely powerful shots, his Ego and is also nicknames the “Lion” or “King” and many times Barou was shown to have a Lion type aura, Zlatan was also good in dribbling, he lacks the unpredictability Mario and Barou have but everything else fits the bill.

    • @yuucola4145
      @yuucola4145 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Zlatan doesn't really have "ego". That's just his personality, but when it comes to playing football, he is actually pretty generous. Zlatan aside from his scoring ability, he actual knowns for his link up play. His passing is world class. And he's not as selfish as Barou. But Balotelli selfishness is perfect for Barou

    I started reading blue lock since 2018 and when I saw Isagi play style immediately thought he was based on Inzagi (being a die hard Ac Milan fan) minus Inzagi's high level heading skills .
    go watch some of his headers, he was insane in the air with more then 40 headers goals.

    • @yuucola4145
      @yuucola4145 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Italian football enthusiast here, rooting for AC Milan from the day i was able to breathe: The first time i saw Isagi and "the place that the most smells like a goal" my mind instantly went to SuperPippo Inzaghi. He's pretty bad at dribbling, at shooting, he's not fast, he can't pass. But he scored a f*ckton of goals, because he has this ability we call "senso del gol" (goal-sense), that makes him KNOW in advance, just by looking at players movements, where probably the ball will be. He's a god.
