2:55 I believe the rule in High Jumping is that where the bar falls off late it is a "no jump" if you are still on the mat whereas if you have left the mat and then it falls off it is a successful clearance, i.e. thought to be wind etc. not the jumper causing it to do that.
The poor girl whose shoe flew off - boy that takes me back! That exact same thing happened to me in a school hurdling event when I was about 13; I wasn't doing badly because I was tall, long-legged and fast, but my immediate reaction to the realisation that my trainer had flown off, educated me forevermore about my status in the competitive world of sports: I staggered to a halt, stared wildly about looking for my shoe, mortified that I had lost an expensive sports trainer, specially bought by my parents for PT, and terrified of my parents' reaction to my clumsy stupidity. I spotted it so many yards back along the track and, despite the desperate wails of classmates, I loped back to retrieve my dignity, stuffed my foot back into the still-laced trainer, and hobbled in last. In short, despite being built for speed, I had no competitive spirit whatsoever, and was far too scared of my parents to ever embrace that determined drive that would allow me to abandon other priorities and actually do what was necessary to win a school hurdles race! Or any other... How dreams die.
Brillo...laughed myself sideways:-) ..that guy in Madrid after the race celebrating sliding straight down into the gutter was priceless ( 8:06) and the 110 hurdles staright after. Spectacular stuff :-) :-) :-)

Some argue that the 110 meter hurdles for men and the 100 meter hurdles for women are more dangerous. Some of the field events other than the pole vault are quite dangerous for the officials and others.
@@Annika-e2h Yes, I saw that, but there was a sound as if he hit some plastic box, like something in front of the referee, but that is not visible from the other angle.
great video! really enjoyed the highlights. but honestly, i feel like some of these moments are a bit staged or exaggerated for laughs. it kind of takes away from the authenticity of real athleticism, don’t you think?
I didn't get any further than the long jumper at 1.00 who clearly suffered an injury as he was jumping. I looked it up and he suffered a hamstring tendon tear, a knee contusion and a tear in the ligaments of the right foot and left the track in a wheelchair. How could the person who did this video not notice a serious injury taking place?

The hurdler who refused to let one epic fail ruin his chance, and so continued to fail his entire way to the end literally spit my sides.
"spit"?? 🤔
*split
I'm still in shock! Those were the funniest moments in sports I've ever seen
It is always pleasant to be surrounded by such fine gentlemen witnessing the greatness of this fantastic sport.
We meet again, gentlemen of culture.
What sport?

6:48 is proof that cameramen are always the fastest 🤣

How dreams die.
None of them were „funny“ - just mishaps (some painful) of people who tried.
No. They were actually pretty funny.
true
You are such a negative Nancy
While I mostly agree, some weren't mistakes and we're pretty funny, like the kid dabbing in the marathon
Funny for people that have never competed at a high level. They know zero and always will be zero.
Very good i am youtube indonesia, sulawesi utara, thanks
Pole jump @ 1:36, the pole says you're not going to jump over the bar, I'll throw back where you came from! lol
8:14 This dude will always be the GOAT. 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Except he screwed his teammate
Whatever it takes coach said.
I'm dying!
I had to fall on floor and laugh Aof 3 times :) epic GOAT.
I'm dead. lmao.
Never, ever walk in front of a runner at the end of a race, unless you want to be knocked over.
8:14 best ever. eff them hurdles bro! PS. no one should pole vault ever - too dangerous. lolz
Right
5:52 THIRD! Bravo cat 😛
07:17 omg. unbelievable lol🤣🤣🤣ouch!
The guy who tripped and face planted on the long jump…….still went further than I ever have….
Streetcop157; 😂
*farther
Farther relates to distance. Further is a definition of degree
He didn't trip. He suffered a hamstring injury which is immensely unfunny.
1:20 when I was in grade 8 gym class some smart ass set up the hurdles backwards...freaking almost broke my leg.....
8:22 🤣😂🤣😂 He's a Dman Fool!! 🤣😂🤣😂

6:02 is dangerous. God can only save this guy😂
The craziest moments in women's sports are better than any plot twist in a movie!
8:06 was coolest! 😂
That girl at the beginning had me laughing with her run 😂 respectfully she did good though 👍🏽
Brillo...laughed myself sideways:-) ..that guy in Madrid after the race celebrating sliding straight down into the gutter was priceless ( 8:06) and the 110 hurdles staright after. Spectacular stuff :-) :-) :-)
He actually tripped as he tried to slow down that’s why he slid under the barrier. Watch it again.

5:57 I hear the sound of broken eggs
5:39 Why do cats always wait for to be right there before they cross in front of you lol!?
pole jumps looks like most dangrous sport in athletics
boxing and gymnastic must be unlisted as sport. they are the most dangerous in my opinion.
*pole vault not pole jumps
Some argue that the 110 meter hurdles for men and the 100 meter hurdles for women are more dangerous. Some of the field events other than the pole vault are quite dangerous for the officials and others.

He suffered a serious hamstring injury was he was jumping. There's nothing funny about that.
In Holland last week someone was killed with hammer throwing.

I think he tripped right before he jumped

6:06~ Who is the pole vaulter?
I'm not a veterinarian. But I can tell you that the person who posted this video is one sick puppy.
It’s kind of sad knowing that they probably trained so hard for the day.
As soon as I saw the blurred face, I knew what was in store for that poor fellow
