I grew up with my father being a volksy car lover , and you remind me of him when I was a child, he use to take his beetle off road and shout geronomo when going through big water puddles, he is now 91 years of age and suffering with dementia but he still remembers his 58 beetle and his type 3 notchback sedan. Unfortunately with some grey nomads they sit around and talk about there past life's whilst having a beer, and can be judgemental, just remember the volksy has no sensors and when the later model rigs start playing up because a sensor is dusty the volksy will still power on and you can give them a wave as you continue on you're adventures ....

Just shows you don't need a 4.5 T truck with 4 fridges ,coffee machine and 600 AMPs of Lithium to have a great time. focusing on the adventure not 4 t of gear you have. You guys are so positive and have a can do attitude . Is Max always so happy that Smile !!
We totally agree 👍🏻 we like to show what really is possible.. but to be honest it doesn’t matter how you do it, the most important thing is that your outdoors having a good time!!! And yeah it’s rare for Max to be grumpy 😆
You guy's are very brave, to sell your house and head out in a very old Kombi. 300 k's on a tank!! My word, my T5 at 80km/ph does well over 1000 on a tank. I absolutely live watching your travels. Keep em coming and good luck with your (new) lifestyle.

We own a small grocery store/restaurant in the middle of nowhere here in the US We live near the Natchez Trace Parkway near French Camp Mississippi. Absolutely love your videos. Very inspiring as I hope to one day do some over landing myself. Keep the videos coming please!
Great TH-cam, by the way, stock trucks have right of way on the roads because with stock that is moving in the back of trucks they can't afford to move off the bitumen as the moving stock can give the truck a sway up, and that could cause a accident.
First week is settling in, we argue for the first week every time we go off in the caravan. Just found your trip, I’ve watched it backward LOL, but being an Australian I get it. You can have the dirt roads though. We lived remote in the NT and I’m so over dirt roads, 7 years of travelling dirt. Six years of Darwin to Nganmarriyanga then two years of Groote Eylandt. Great videos guys.
Loved it, can't wait to see the next one, you guys are a breath of fresh air, over the last two and a half years we were doing the "grey nomad" thing, would have loved to come across you guys then, and hopefully we wouldn't be the annoying ones. Hi, K & M & lil' one 😇. Love your Vlogs & adventures. Fairly new to them, first one that we watched was 2/3 Cape York via Telegraph in a KOMBI !! I couldn't believe it. I did that trip in a '85 Mitsubishi Pajero in late October '86. 3 weeks North of the Wenlock. Barely saw a soul. Wonderful ! Tried hard, but never saw a Saltie. Sorry you missed Gunshot, unreal ! Couldn't go up near vertical in the Pajero, however the last Tour Group X 3, for the season heading South winched each other through while I watched. The lead boss offered to winch me as well. Incredible! What a fantastic learning adventure for your little one. She's beautiful 👣 We're getting organised to go bush again around the end of this year. Q: Without 3G or 4G mobile coverage, what type of Comms do you carry for Emergencies? Do you carry an EPIRB ? Have fun, stay safe. Might bump into you sometime. Regards, Robert & Shirley

If livestock transport they have rite way if they have to drop one side off the hardtop the livestock will move and truck & trailer will fall over
