Started playing goalie in beginner beer league a few years ago and have to teach myself everything I know. Videos like this are so helpful to people like me
Not sure if this happens to any other goalies but lately on the ice that voice pops in my head "you are not done do something". Kind of a blessing and a curse at the same time. But thanks anyways.
Love it I really wish I lived in Ontario I’m a kid first starting goalie and I need a good trainer but there all so expensive and your videos really help me
What’s the best way to close 5 hole when a shooter on the breakaway cuts across as they come in tight? Also drills to help snap that trailing pad to the ice?
3 things you can do: 1. Slide with your paddle down, covering your 5-hole 2. Get your blade to face vertically along your body to poke-check the player when they cut across 3. Stay on your feet a little longer
hey Nick ( I think thats your name ) I recently stumbled upon your videos and I thought your pointers and tips that you made were really smart and I was looking into maybe ging into a camp of yours then I found out that you coach in Canada. So I was wondering where your camps or sessions are hosted and to see if there are any within range of Minnesota or Ontario. thanks
Behind the goal, instead of doing 1 (next to initial post, head initial side), 2 (next to initial post, head on the other side), I do 1 (next to initial post, head initial side), 2 (next to opposite post, head towards the initial side). Do you see any downside doing my method? I find that more than often, players will not change direction in the back of the net because a D is usually following them (at my level at least), so by doing this, I'm already on the puck side and even if I don't see the puck while my head is turning, my body is blocking the space. Feel free to correct me.
