How do you collapse it down? Is it that black knob?

Let all of the pressure off the hydraulic press, and it should just collapse down. Hope that helps..

Release the pressure from the hydraulic pump.

@@GumptionGarage I was not thinking - once I figured out the handle is used to spin the valve, it worked fine... I have no idea why I tried to do it with fingers! I even knew that because I have bottle jacks!
